Chapter 2Caleb
The helicopter bringing Dr. Starr to the North Pole was running late and Caleb was worried. The winds had picked up and heavy snow had been swirling through the air for over an hour. He’d been waiting at the landing platform for more than two hours and he was covered in snow.
Originally, he’d planned on meeting the vet at the reindeer barn, but Dancer had taken a turn for the worse over the last twenty-four hours and Caleb’s anxiety was through the roof. The Big Guy was depending on Caleb to help Dancer and ensure he was ready for the trip, but Dancer hadn’t even eaten that morning. When Dancer turns up his snout at food, there was a problem. That reindeer loved his food.
