Episode 10.

~ KRISTEN POV~

Dear Heavenly Father, Jesus, and Mary, Our Merciful Mother,I thank you for allowing me to visit and enter your house again today, like the last time I visited you all. Thank you for your kindness and blessings every single day and for the next few days to come. I need your help, your wisdom, your thoughtfulness and your kindness to guide me. I prayed to you about him before. I need your guidelines now because I want to make a decision. Either I continue to love him from afar or persuade him. I never felt this way before towards another man. Many men had persuaded me before, but my heart never felt like this towards them. If a good looking person was my heart's desire, I had fallen in love many times before. If I seek money and wealth, I have already become one of my admired wives now. But my heart didn't feel any kind of feeling towards any of them.Now he came and made my heart feel like this. Act like this. I really need your guide now. Dear Heavenly Father, I love you and your son Jesus, as well as Mother Mary, so much. I have never learnt to love another person like you all. But now I feel this way towards this man. I just hope you can show me some clues if he's the one for me. Thank you, God. Amen.

I sit down on my chair beside my mother after kneeling down in prayer to God. In front of me, many visitors are kneeling also. A few sit down waiting for the priest to come and tell us all about God's kindness and love through his words inside the Bible.

"Dear, why do you look sad?"

My mother whispers to me.

I smiled at her.

"Nothing. I just feel so blessed because we can come to church today."

She padded my back hand with a smile.

After a few hours, all the church activities came to an end. I prayed once more to God and hoped He'd give me a clue or something about my prayers earlier today.

After returning from the church, we had lunch at the nearby restaurants like we always do. From afar, I can see Hazel and Mr. Kelvin Klain coming out of his restaurant and about to enter Mr. Klain's car. Hazel looks so lovely and beautiful. I pull out my handphone as fast as I can and take their pictures together.They look so perfect together.I just hope Mr. Kevin Klain sees her as a beautiful girl and accepts her to become his girlfriend.

"Dear, please don't just stand at the front door. You blocked another customer from entering this restaurant. "

My mother told me I walked faster towards my parents and smiled. I didn't tell them about what I'd just seen now. I will send this picture to my bestie after this.

After having lunch, we'll head back to home before going to our restaurant around 1:00 pm.

I sent the pictures to Hazel. Now for my promise a few days ago.

" Mom and Dad, can you two sit down here for a minute? I want to talk about something. "

Honestly, I was afraid to tell them.I am afraid of how they will receive this news and my feelings towards him.

"Dear, what do you want to talk about? Come here, sit between me and your father. "

She smiled at me.

Okay, here we go.

"Did you remember my promise, Mom and Dad?"

They both nodded and looked at me. They waited for me to spill it out. I knew it.

"Our new neighbour that lives at Mr. Princkel's house now is him."

~>HAZEL CLAIRE POV ~

He just looked at me and didn't say a word. About half an hour later, he speaks.

"Thank you for accompanying me to breakfast this morning, Miss Claire."

"Thank you, sir, because you invited me."

I smiled at him. He smiled back at me.

"Sir, did you have something to talk about with me?"

He looked at me but didn't say a word.

He just has to ask me. I know he wants me to help him persuade Kristen.But why wouldn't he say anything?

Did he think I was just a friend to Kristen?

I'm her best friend and bestie. Even if I cannot persuade Kristen to become his girlfriend, at least Kristen will agree to go on a date with him in the future. I know my bestie will not disappoint me. And I understand her character clearly; she'll go on a date with him. But she'll softly explain and try to make him understand her feelings. She had been with someone before I knew her. She had a boyfriend, but just for a few days when she realised she didn't have any kind of feeling towards him. She asked for a break up. Eventually, her ex boyfriend hated her for telling him the truth. That's why Kristen never had a relationship with a random guy again. She doesn't want to experience that kind of feeling anymore. She wanted a serious relationship with one man.One man that can make her heart feel something. And I think she had already found him, but she didn't know anything about that man.

"I didn't have anything to discuss with you, Miss Claire. But I wanted to take you on another date again. Maybe next week if you want too. "

Did I really hear him say that?

I'm not daydreaming, right?

"Miss Claire?"

So, this is for real. His questions are real. But I didn't want to make a quick decision. I'm afraid of feeling disappointed again. Like what he did this morning.

" Mr. Klain, would you please allow me to think about it first, and then I will message you my response, okay?"

" It's okay, Miss Claire. I will wait for your answer. Just hoping it's not at the last minute, okay?I need to prepare first for Miss Claire. "

"I understand, Mr. Klain. I just need a few days. "

He nodded and finished his drink. I do that too, and we both just stayed quiet and didn't say a word. I didn't realise that it was almost afternoon and I had to go back home before going to work. Kristen's parents and Kristen will pick me up at 1:30 pm. I told Mr. Klain and he sent me back to my house around 10:30am. I change my dress to simple clothes like a t-shirt and jeans, and then help my mother prepare lunch. After lunch, I received a message from Kristen. When I opened her message, it was a picture of me and Mr. Klain, walking out of his restaurant that morning.

When we meet at the restaurant, I talk about how clumsy I was while enjoying my breakfast. I skip the part about feeding Mr. Klain. I'm afraid that Kristen is looking down on me. She even wished that Mr. Klain would fall in love with me.

I told her about Mr. Klain asking me to go on a date with him again. I need an opinion from my bestie. I know she'll sincerely give me an honest answer.

" I think you should go to Haz. If he wants to meet you again, that's a sign that he's comfortable around you. Bestie, just be confident in yourself. You never know, he probably already adores you. My bestie is not just a pretty face but a cutie girl too. "

She pinched my cheeks softly and hugged me.

I think I will consider her suggestions.

I should become more confident in myself.
