~KRISTEN POV~
I ran back to my home again, just like yesterday morning. Is that going to be my new routine every morning?
He's so freaking hot, and his boxer cannot hide his excitement when he looks at me. I know I'm so hot too with my attractive body. I'm aware of my own body.
So it means that I'm not the only one getting excited when we meet. I just hope he likes me too.
"How was your morning jogging, dear?"
My mother greets me, and she and my father are waiting for me in our front yard.They two laughed at me again.
"I'm kind of curious about the man who lives there. He just moved here, but he can make my little angel here fly every morning. "
"Dad!" I make that pouted face and they both laugh again.
" Sorry dear, but he's really something. Did you manage to say sorry and give him the pancake? "
I nodded.
After that morning routine, we all headed to the restaurant to pick up Hazel on the way.
Today, mom is going to bake a red velvet cake with cream cheese filling and an apple pie for dinner. I want to bake one for him too. I hope he likes the sweet and sour cake. Plus, today we're going to be back earlier than last night because we'll go to church tomorrow morning. The restaurant will open in the evening tomorrow.
Tonight, I'm going to give him that cake.
When we take a break after lunchtime, Hazel and I sat in the same spot.
"Tell me."
I smile at Hazel because she already knows that I am going to tell her about him again.
"He's so freaking hot, Haz!"
I shouted softly.I am afraid the other workers and the customers will hear our conversation.
" Tell me something that I don't know. For example, what's his name? "
Oh my gosh.I never asked that.I skipped the basic stuff and didn't ask him when I met him yesterday and this morning.
"Let me guess. You still didn't know his name? "
I nodded and ate my spaghetti silently.
"So..are you going to adore him just by looking at his face and body only?"
I feel sad right now.Hazel has a good point. I'm glad she's my best friend.
"Are you sure you didn't cheat when you did your test a few years ago, Kris?"
"No.I never do such things.I just... you know. I was fascinated with his eyes and all. And it made me forget about that. "
" Right now, I'm not going to add to your stress, but I want you to prepare yourself. Mr. Kevin Klain is coming. He's just a few feet away from us now. "
Hazel whispers to me. She wanted to get up and go back to the kitchen.
" Haz, you're my best friend. Please stay here with me. Plus, I will give you the opportunity to close with him okay. "
I winked my eyes at her. Hazel narrowed her eyes towards me because I was holding her left arm so she could not get up.
"Hello, beautiful lady. Good evening. "
He approached me and gave me a big bouquet of red roses. Hazel looked at it and I knew she liked roses so much. I didn't hate roses, but I liked tulips more than any other kind of flower. Many of my admirers didn't know that I liked tulips because I never told anyone, including my own best friend. If they really like me, they should know right away.
"How are you, beautiful lady?" He sat across from my seat and Hazel kept trying to free herself from my holding.
I smiled at him because I can't be rude to another person. This is my natural behaviour. I cannot scream and say bad words to chase him away.
"Good evening to you too, Mr. Klain. I'm fine. Thank you. Would you like to order something, Mr. Klain? "
"Just call me Kevin, Kristen."
I forced myself to smile because I knew he was coming here to meet me and asked me to go on a date with him.
"Miss Claire, can I talk alone with your best friend, Kristen?"
He smiled at Hazel, but I didn't let her arm go.
"But Mr. Klain, Kristen doesn't want to let me go."
"Haz..." I shouted softly towards Hazel, Why did she do this to me?
Mr. Kevin Klain looked shocked by Hazel's statement. He smiled at me and looked at my poor best friend with fierce eyes.
"Mr. Klain."
"Okay, Kevin. My best friend is a beautiful and kind lady too. She can accompany you and become your girlfriend too.She can treat you better than I can. I cannot pretend to like you because I didn't feel anything towards you, Mr.Klain. "
"I've heard your statement many times before, but you can develop feelings for me at any time."
Mr. Kelvin Klain added again.
"What you need to do is go on a date with me a few times. Then you will know me and the love will develop itself along with the time you spend with me. "
But I stick to my desicion.
"Mr. Klain, please sir. I know what my heart wants.The first time I saw you, sir, I can see that you're a good-looking man with beautiful eyes. Not to say more, you have a great body and wealth too. But I didn't feel anything towards you, sir. My heart didn't have any reaction when I saw you, wherever we talked or just met."
".But, Kristen, you said to me that I appear flawless in your eyes.Then why didn't you feel anything? "
He's trying to convince me.
" I'm not a picky girl, sir, it's just that I know what I want. But I'm sure there are many girls out there that can appreciate you, sir. One of them is here, sir, Miss Hazel Claire. She was amongst the girls that adored you, sir."
Look like I have to sell of my own best friend . I'm sorry Hazel. I just hope you'll thank me one day .
"Kris." Hazel looked at me and looked annoyed with my speech just now. Mr. Kelvin was also looking at her. He's probably thinking about my words about Hazel just now. Hazel looked very nervous and was looking at her lap and playing with her apron unconsciously.
"Please accept my apologies, sir. I needed to be in the kitchen right now. My rest time has already passed. "
I didn't take the banquet of roses with me; I just left it on the table because I knew that Hazel was going to take it.
I nodded softly towards him and got up. I let Hazel's arm go and she still sat quietly there because Mr. Kevin Klain was still looking at her.
I hope I can give a big favour to my best friend.
~HAZEL CLAIRE POV~
Why would Kristen say something like that? She shouldn't have said that to him. Yes, I like him so much. The first day I met him, he came to this restaurant and asked Kristen to go on a date with him. I had seen many men admire and persuaded Kristen, but she didn't have any feelings towards them. I thought she was a snobby girl, but she's super sweet and kind. She always rejected them softly. I never heard her shout or kick them harshly. That's why I became her best friend.My parents and her parents were best friends, but I never liked her because I felt envious of her body. She has curves in the right places on her body. Along with that, she's so beautiful with her light brown eyes and long lashes that many women desire to have naturally. But many put on fake eyelashes so they look adorable. But she's not like them. She even has a body and face like a Goddess. She had a heart like the Goddess too. I had failed my exam and didn't know how to survive when I finished school. But she helped me and asked her parents to accept me to work at their restaurant. Her mother and father were so kind too. They always cook or bake extra food and give it to me and my family almost every night. When I think back on my stupid envy feelings towards her in the past, I feel ashamed.Sometimes, they visit us when they have free time, and sometimes they even ask me and my family to go to their big and beautiful home and have a barbecue party.
Now Mr.Kelvin Klain's eyes didn't leave me. Kristen has already run away, and I'm planning to run along.
" Excuse me, sir, but my rest period has ended as well.If you want to order something, I can take your order now. "
"Just a minute, Miss Claire."
"Yes, sir."
I didn't dare look at his face right now.
" Just call me Kevin. Can you go on a date with me tomorrow morning? "
"Why tomorrow morning, sir?"
"Because I know you're all only open after 5:00 p.m. tomorrow."
I nodded.
"If you decide to accept my proposals, then send me a message or call me. Okay, "
He gives me his business card.I cannot believe that my idol asked me to go on a date. I have to say thank you to my best friend. She's the one that gives me opportunities like this. I should ask her to accompany me to the mall tonight. I need a good dress for tomorrow's date.
~MR.KELVIN KLAIN POV~
I'm out of ideas on how to ask her to go on a date with me. She dared to tell me that she didn't have any kind of feelings towards me. Any girl will throw themselves at me if I want to. But I just want her. Her face, her body, even her attitude are so perfect. If she's just a regular girl, I will buy her from her parents, but her parents have a successful restaurant, even if it's not a grand restaurant like my restaurant. But they have a solid income and their customers always come here almost every day. On a weekend like this, you can hardly find a seat to eat.
She told me that her best friend adored me. So, I have to win her best friend's heart first. After that, I will try to get her through her best friend. I bet her best friend would do anything if I asked her.
