~ Kristen POV ~
"Mom, you don't have to drag me like that."
"I'm sorry, my dear, but you shouldn't look at them like that."
"But mom, why do I feel drawn to that guy?"
"Which ones, dear?"
"The one with tattoos and."
My mother cut me out before I finished my sentence.
"But dear, he looks like a bad guy. He's the one that punched that poor man, right? "
"Yup, but I didn't think he was that bad. Probably the other man doing a bad thing, and he's just punished him.
" Okay dear, enough talking about them. I need to finish this before dinner time. Please call Kelsy and help her put this inside the oven now. "
"Okay, mom."
This is our routine every evening. Mom will bake a cake and some pastries before helping dad with the menu for tonight. My parents are the owners of the famous and beautiful restaurant called "Little Heaven" in Beverly Hills, a city in California's Los Angeles country. It's not a five-star restaurant but a family restaurant.
My parents opened this restaurant before I was born. So basically, I just have a second daughter after this restaurant for them. But I didn't mind about it.I knew they were working so hard for our future and for mine too. That's why I didn't work at the place I should have worked at. I got a better grade than another student a few years ago when I graduated. But, I chose to stay here and help them. My mother disliked my discussion, but my father convinced her that one day this restaurant would belong to me, and my father was extremely happy with my discussion. He told me that I have to adapt to this routine every day from now on and that I need to know about their business too.
This restaurant is my father's dream, so I will gladly help him. My mother was also his biggest supporter, helping him not just bake tasty desserts. She also helps her father with all the payments and bills because she is really good with business arrangements. She makes sure our restaurant runs smoothly and has enough supplies every month. She sometimes picks them personally when we need to choose the fresh ingredients for our dishes every single day.

Kris, what's happening to you?
"What?"
"Don't play dumb ass, Kris."
"Okay...just spill it out."
"Your mother keeps nagging about you and your father has to make her calm down before they start making the dishes."
I can't blame Mom for it.She's scared that I will fall in love with that guy, and she's probably worried about it.
"It's nothing."
" Come on, Kriss. I don't think it is a small matter if your mom is going to fuss about it. It's got to be something important. "
"Okay, Haz. I just admit to her that I like the guy with the tattoos . "
"Are you serious, Kris?"
"Of course I'm serious, Haz."
"Are you talking to me about the same tattooed guy that you saw a few days ago?"
I nodded.
"You really like him?"
I nodded again.
"Are you already falling in love with him?"
I narrowed my eyes and saw Hazel, my best friend from kindergarten. She lives in the country, but she is unable to continue her education because her grades are poor.I asked my dad to take her to work here with me. Of course, my dad will agree, plus Hazel is a good girl, although she's not very smart.
Did I already fall in love with him?
I don't know.
I just saw him twice.
But when I saw him, I just wanted to throw myself into his arms, grab his hair, and kiss him.
Wow..And why'd I want to kiss him all of a sudden?
Slow down, b***h.
Oops...my apologies, Papa Jesus.My bad.
"Earth to Kris. Hello, are you there? " Hazel was knocking my forehead gently with her fingers.
"Sorry Haz."
"So??"
"I adore him already. His fierce looks with a killer body and attitude. "
" Kris, I don't know why you like that guy. If I were you, I don't want to be with that kind of man. "
"So.... I guess that is good. There was no rivalry between me and another girl at the time.He will belong to me and me only. "
I am extremely happy with Hazel's words.
" But Kris . All the guys in this town like you. They always try to capture your heart and become your boyfriend. One of them is Kelvin Klain, the handsome and charming owner of the Big Boss company. But you always let him down. Why? "
I knew Kelvin Klain was a handsome man with his blue eyes, blonde sandy hair, eight-pack abs, and millions of wealth. But, I didn't feel anything towards him, just like with my one and only ex-boyfriend, Steven Bold. I have
already experienced that kind of relationship. So why should I go down the same road again if it will make me feel that way again?
Oh gosh, I knew I had to explain again and again to Hazel, my best friend, why I didn't want to become Kelvin Klain's girlfriend. She still didn't understand why I did this.
"Haz... I already told you why. So, I don't want to explain it again and again. My mother and father will be looking for their two favourite workers, and I think we should both take out the cake and start decorating it now.
Hazel just glared at me and pulled out the whipping cream from the freezer.
We both finished our work before the customer kept rushing into our restaurant just another night before.
***
"I'm tired." Hazel sigh.
"Me too."Hazel sat in the back seats with me. My father will drive us back to our home after sending Hazel back to her house.
My parents know Hazel's parents. They are best friends like me and Hazel.
Even though we have a more stable life than they do. My parents never forget their friends; they always visit when we have free time. My parents will close the restaurant for 3 or 4 days every month in the middle of the month, and the restaurant will be open for half days every Monday and Sunday.
"Haz, don't forget the cake and the lasagna."
My mother reminded her before she walked out of the car. My mother always cooked extra for her. She will pack it so her friend Aunty Claudia won't have to cook anything tomorrow. Hazel has two siblings: Kane, his baby brother, and Samantha, his baby sister, who are both 8 years old and 5 years old.
"Thanks aunty.Good night, Kris. "
"You're welcome, Haz. Say hi to your mom. "
"Say hi to your dad too, Haz."
My father shouted at her when she walked to their house. She smiled and walked faster to their house. The countryside is a peaceful place, but at midnight you have to be more careful. That is why my parents always drove Hazel back to her house. Sometimes, when my parents are too busy, they will let me drive Hazel back.
