I lay awake in bed, waiting for him to return. It had only been fifteen minutes since he was gone, but I just felt weird. Maybe I didn't want to be left alone that day. I also needed someone to switch the lights off, and I was too lazy to stand up. The door opened, and I quickly glanced at him, as he entered. "Can you get the lights?" I asked. He froze for a second, after which he nodded. "Sure." I frowned. There was something wrong. His shoulders were slumped, and his voice didn't hold the usual vigour. Darkness surrounded us, and I was glad that the curtains on the window were black, and of a thick material.
