Adele froze up at the sight of my eyes, her lips starting to quiver as her heart beat faster. A small whimper left her lips as soon as my hand came in contact with her shoulder, and tears started to swim in her eyes.
"Shh... shh. It's okay," I said softly, gently pushing her hair away from her shoulder, and setting it on the other. The moment her neck was exposed to me, my eyes trained on the throbbing vein, visible even through her tan skin. My fangs started to grow, and I tried my best to keep them hidden for however long I could. "I'm gonna need you to stay still, alright? It's gonna hurt the least if you do." My arm wrapped around her waist to hold her in place. Her hands flew to my chest, and she weakly tried to push away from me.
