Chapter 35: Kendrick's POV / Audrey's POV

2798 Words
THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS s****l CONTENT I was driving over the speed limit to try and make it to our meeting place. I ended up staying longer with Esther, trying to appease her and assure her that Mathew and I didn't have any big trips planned since he's getting ready for the coronation. This calmed her down and she finally allowed me to leave the palace. I didn't get to see Ishmael, but this meeting wouldn't take long and I'd be back home in a few hours. When I got to our meeting place, Mathew and Keyon were impatiently waiting for me outside their cars. The two men were waiting in the dark, outside the old abandoned building we've turned into our secret meeting place. They were both wearing suits and honestly the scene looked like two mafia bosses preparing an attack together. As soon as I got out of my car, we walked inside. I hated these meetings because they were all a betrayal on Esther. We have the meetings here, in secret, to decrease the chances of the seers seeing us in their visions. This is the one thing that I can't tell my love about because I know the moment she finds out, Audrey will find out and she would try to stop us like she always does. "Do you have any good news for me?", Mathew asked Keyon as soon as we got into the abandoned building. Keyon exhaled loudly and shook his head. "Boss, I can find anything and anyone, but for the life of me, I cannot find your Queen." The man's voice was low and deep and filled with curiosity. Keyon's years of being able to hide from seers has enabled him to spy on people without any struggle. That's why he's been able to help Mathew keep things in order for this long. He's an impeccable tracker and is able to find most things and people that have been hidden. However, three things have bested his skills - finding Elizabeth, finding the Kelpie kingdom and finding Raphael. Mathew and I have taken the lead on finding the Kelpie kingdom and Raphael, so those two things aren't on the top of his to do list. However, finding Elizabeth falls entirely on Keyon. He's the only one who can find her without being detected by a seer. Everytime Mathew and I look for her, a swarm of seers come knocking at our doors telling us 'she will return when the time is right'. "She's being cloacked, boss. I've never seen magic this strong cloacking a person. I've also never seen it being able to stay for this long. She must really want to stay hidden." Keyon ran his large tattooed hand through his black hair, untangling the bun that he had tied his long hair into. "It must be Audrey", Mathew growled. Keyon nodded. "It is, boss. It's taken me a long time to find this out, but I can confirm with certainty now that the Mother of Seers has been helping to keep your Queen hidden. But, for once, I don't just come bearing bad news." Mathew raised his brow, waiting for the man to continue. Keyeon's reports for the last few years have always been nothing but bad news. He'd always say that finding Elizabeth is like trying to catch smoke. You can see it in the distance, you know it's there but no matter what you do, you can't grab it with your hands. "The Mother of Seers' influence is limited to the Werewolf kingdom. Other kingdoms have their own Mothers of Seers. The witches who were cloacking your Queen, didn't have enough power to cloack her beyond the borders of your kingdom for long. A few days ago, she was spotted leaving the Northern Inkling kingdom in a black SUV driven by some guy." "Mike" Mathew muttered almost to himself. "Where did they go?" Keyon shrugged. "I'm still trying to find that out, boss. Someone cloacked them again." "Dammit!" Mathew slammed the old dirty table in the middle of the room. Keyon exhaled loudly. "I may not be a seer, boss but my instincts are telling me someone is about to mess up and stop cloacking her. Wherever she is, the Mother of Seers can no longer reach her there. The moment she's uncloacked, we'll go get your girl." Mathew rubbed his chin as if in thought. "I've received reports that the Silver kingdom suffered massive casualties after a battle with the centaurs. I have no doubt that Queen Merrida will reconsider my proposal for an alliance between the Northern Inkling Kingdom and the Werewolf kingdom." "Are you thinking of using the alliance as leverage to find Elizabeth?" I asked him. It is only here in this old abandoned building that Mathew allows anyone to say her name. It may be because this is the only place where he can try to find her in peace. "Maybe", he still seemed to be in thought. "Chances are Elizabeth was being hidden while she was in the North. There's no way Queen Merrida wouldn't know about it. She has a dislike for magic and wants its use in her kingdom to be limited and monitored." Mathew still seemed to be pondering over what to do. We all know of the Silver kingdom that earned its name for the shimmering steel that adorn the technologically advanced cities. When Mathew asked to come to the Northern Inkling Kingdom, Queen Merrida outright refused. She said, unlike inklings who can easily hide the fact that they're magical creatures, such a thing is impossible for shifters such as werewolves. Thus, she wanted nothing to do with us because we would bring nothing but magic into her perfect domain of artificial intelligence. The irony, of course, is that inklings are by their very essence magical creatures. Humans even know them as 'fairies'. They're history is filled with magic and Queen Merrida and her predecessors were set on changing this narrative. He finally stopped rubbing his chin and chuckled at himself, almost amused. "The inklings will not get an alliance unless they tell me where she is." Keyon and I looked at each other with concerned expressions. This was a bold move on Mathew's part. If we didn't get an alliance with the Northern Inkling Kingdom we risked them siding with Raphael or losing them as a partner if Raphael kills them. Both options are very dangerous. And yet, Mathew was willing to risk it all to find Elizabeth. I understood though. Minutes, hours, days and weeks away from Esther feel like an eternity. If someone told me I couldn't see her for three years, I would have gone completely feral by now. The fact that Mathew has been able to stick it out for this long is a miracle. ********************************************* Audrey's POV "Jay! Jay! Aaaaaaah, Jay!" I was moaning my mate's name at the top of my lungs while we were being driven to Agatha's coven in a limo. The partition was rolled up, but I'm sure the driver could hear us even though this section of the car is soundproof. I was moving up and down on Jay's hardness while he kept slamming me down so that I could take all of him inside me. I didn't have to worry about my black silky dress being creased this time and could ruin it however I saw fit. The bottom half of the dress was completed shoved up to my waist, leaving the bottom half of my body completely exposed and giving my mate better access. The top part was now pulled down and hanging by my waist while Jonathan greedily sucked on my breasts. His groans filled the car and every sound sent even more tingles and fireworks down to my core and all over my skin. "Oh, baby!" He groaned loudly. We didn't care if the driver and guards heard us. Werewolves are very s****l beings and even seeing people mate out in the field after going for a run was not uncommon. Jonathan and I have explored each other on multiple occasions outside on the pack grounds. However, we have been insatiable ever since I got pregnant. Something makes us want to constantly mate each other, as if the mate bond wasn't already doing that. He grabbed my waist, commanding me to ride him in a circular motion. His eyes were filled with so much desire that just looking at them was making me experience pure ecstacy. I arched my back and he pulled me in while he sucked on my mark spot. I was screaming in pleasure as the orgasms hit me in waves. "Ah! Ah! Ah! He released a loud roar as he spilled his seed inside me. He peppered my shoulders with gentle kisses as we both sat still, out of breath. Then the realiasation hit us. The car wasn't moving. It had stopped and who knows for how long. I chuckled as it hit me that the reason why no one had let us know we have arrived or even attempted to open the doors for us is because they heard us making love. Jonathan's deep laugh filled the car. "I guess we're here, my love" He moved my dreads to the side and gave the mark spot under my neck a final kiss, igniting my desire all over again as electricity spread through my body. I tore myself off of him, wishing we were still some distance from Agatha's coven so that we could continue making love. We got dressed and stepped outside. The guards were standing a fair amount of distance from the car. They looked completely unbothered, probably understanding that fated mates like to mate whenever they get the chance. "Agatha!" I shouted as I ran to give the old woman a hug. She had a very sly smile on her face. "You two were humping the brains out of each other agin, weren't you?" Her shaky voice was threatening to burst into laughter. I looked away, feeling slightly embarrassed that the old woman had heard us. "Don't be embarrassed, dearie!", she assured me. "You're young, you're happy and you have found the person you love. Hump him! Hump him every second of the day! Hump him until your bones are as old as mine and even then, hump him some more!" We all burst into laughter at the old woman's crude remarks. Jonathan pulled me into his arms and smirked. "You heard the lady. You better hump me!" She led us inside her house and it instantly made me think of my grandmother's house. It's decorated very modestly with natural mahogany wood used in most of the furniture and flowers in almost every corner of the house. The house also smelled like freshly baked cookies. That's how Agatha's house always smells though. Stepping in here feels like being hugged by a loving mother. Jonathan helped her sit down on the couch and then came to sit next to me. "What can I do for you this late in the evening, dearie? Her voice always sounded shaky, threatening to break at any moment. I took a deep breath and proceeded to tell her about my vision. "I had a vision of Raphael. He's going to kill my baby." Jonathan pulled me in closer as soon as I explained my vision. "I saw him tear my stomach open and rip my unborn child out of my womb and...he ate him; right infront of me." "Mmmmmm", she said while thinking. "I have just the potion for that, dearie. It's old and simple, but it's always effective. Back in the day, when womenfolk were treated as a mere afterthought, if a man decided he no longer wanted a woman, he wouldn't just walk away." We helped her get up from the couch and she walked into her kitchen while we followed her. "Of course, good men would take responsibility if a woman fell pregnant, lesser men ran away, but evil men killed the mother or the child." She started taking all kinds of plants and other ingredients out of her cupboards and fridge. One would have thought that she would have taken us into a dark basement and started cooking up her spells, but Agatha was not like that. She likes light and fresh air and always insists that things be done out in the open, rather than in secret. She's the one who taught us how to differentiate between good and bad witches. The magical creatures living in the werewolf kingdom territories had grown suspicious of all witches, good or bad. The moment witches were scented, plans were put into motion to ambush them and kill them. The wolves all knew that there were both good and bad witches, but fear had taken over their hearts and they didn't care whether it was a good or bad witch being killed; so long as it was a witch that was dying. Mathew was not aware of this at first and I had also not been shown any visions of this. However, he became aware of this problem while monitoring the affairs of all things going on in his territory. I don't know how he manages to watch over things with such a keen eye considering all the travelling he has been doing. But, nonetheless, if he hadn't noticed, good witches would have been hunted down. He was the one who found Agatha's coven somehow. They thought they were well hidden and cloacked, but he still found them somehow. He issued a royal apology to the good witches living in the Werewolf kingdom and made a royal decree that they all fell under his personal protection. He allocated lands to them, funded their housing and other development projects and even gave some of them jobs in his many businesses in the human world. Following the decree, more witches came out of hiding. Agatha took it upon herself to teach us to see the different auras that form around good and bad witches. This way, we no longer had to only rely on instincts or even scents to identify good and bad witches. Those things were very unreliable. She showed us how, if you just focused your eyes, you'll see the blue-ish light that encircle good witches, while evil witches have a red hue that encircles them. This has helped us to not put all witches in the same basket and get the good witches to help us in the fight against Raphael. "Women", she continued, "had to find a way to protect themselves and their babies against men. They looked to the witches to protect them." She was throwing all the ingredients in a large pot on the stove and stirring it while talking to us. "Since we witches are also womenfolk, we too faced those problems. We came up with a little concoction that hides your baby from all those who wish to harm it." She gave a little chuckle to herself. "It makes it so that your enemies won't notice the baby no matter what they do. Even if they know you're pregnant or even if they held the babe in their hands, thoughts of harming your baby will disappear." She poured the concoction into a large glass and handed it to me. It smelled like dirty, sweaty socks and rotten fish. I held my nose to block the smell and refused to even look at the foul-smelling concoction, but she raised an eyebrow as a warning to me. "You drink this right now, young lady. Since your baby is still inside you it means by extension, you will also be protected. This is how you protect your babe from that... warlock." She looked disgusted saying the last part. Witches have given birth to boys, but they never have any witch powers. The boys are essentially human, except their ageing slows down after they turn 25, like most magical creatures do. The thought of a man wielding the powers of a witch enrages the good witches. They believe the reason why Raphael was easily swayed to do such terrible things is because no man is meant to wield witch powers; only women can resist the temptation of that power. To say that they are baffled by the witches who have sided with Raphael is an understatement. It is inconceivable to them for any witch, good or bad, to follow a warlock. I looked at Jonathan and he gave me a reassuring smile while stroking my back. I drank the disgusting drink in large gulps while holding my nose. As soon as I finished, I rushed to the taps to get some water so that I wouldn't throw up.
