Chapter 27: Sign Farm Everglades SR28 9:51 P.M. I didn’t know what to expect to see after dark at Sign Farm. I parked my Mercedes along SR28, hiding it at the nearest turn-off, and walked down a weaving dirt road inside the Everglades. I knew little about the region. Layers of limestone stored water from the vast marshland, and constant flooding occurred in the area because of the Myakka, Kissimmee, and Caloosahatchee Rivers.
