Scarlett pov Good morning sweetheart, wake up. It's time for breakfast. I hear my father's voice. Go away, daddy, and I need more sleep. I'm so tired. Yesterday I had a busy day. Scarlett, come downstairs immediately or you will be late for school again. I will not save you this time and I would recommend harsh punishment for you. Once I hear that I jolt out of bed and I dash to the bathroom to take a shower, I know my dad is serious about the punishment. Yesterday I was late and he called the principal so that I didn't get punished, but today I don't think so. My daddy is strict when it comes to my studies. He says I can be anything I want. I don't know how true that is, considering being a princess of the werewolves and witches' kingdom is a full-time career, I don't know how many choices I have rather than being a ruler and finding a strong mate that can rule with me. I dash out of the bathroom and do my morning routine, and off I go for breakfast. At the head of the table is my dad, King Alpha Xavier Schmidt. To his right is my mom, Queen Luna Peris Schmidt, and my brothers, William and Samuel, Liam, Andrew, and Christoph. I went ahead and took my seat next to my dad and said Good morning to my family. I filled my plate and started eating while listening to my parents talk about the problem our kingdom is facing from the werecats and werebears. They talk about how the attacks in our kingdom have increased and they suspect that someone close to our family is working with them and that there are also some witches from our kingdom helping them. I don't bother myself with kingdom politics as I am still young, I am just twelve. My big brother helps my dad with running the kingdom, but I can't say that I am clueless about what is happening. My parents always talk about kingdom matters around me because I will be queen someday and I need to learn from them. We have had many attacks recently and it's not from rogues but other kingdoms who think my dad is not a good king and someone else will be better. Some people have high ambition, if I may say so. am done with my breakfast and check the time, goodness. I am almost late, am off to school. I tell my mum and dad as I place a kiss on their chick. I told them I loved them and I hugged my brothers' goodbyes and I ran out of the door. My friends are waiting, the walk to school is not that long, we catch up with each other as we go to school and soon enough we arrive at school just as the bell rings for the first period. We all run to our respective classes. We share two classes with my best friend, Ashley. We've been friends since we were toddlers and, other than that, her father is my uncle, not related by blood, but my father's Beta. Beta female Patricia is my mum's best friend. We do practically everything together. She is literary, a big sister I always wanted. During the first lesson, I started having this horrible feeling in my stomach like something was wrong or something bad was going to happen, but I couldn't pinpoint where or to who. This went on until we broke for lunch. I share what I feel with Ashley but she just says that maybe it's because of the exams that we have next week and we should study hard for them. I know it was not the exam because I have been studying for it, but I just brushed off the feeling. We headed to the cafeteria for lunch. On getting there, the queue was long. We went to the back of the queue waiting to serve our food when we heard an explosion and everything was blurred. If I knew that was the last time I would see my family and friends, I would have said more to them. I would have told my brothers I love them and hugged my parent tightly. I would have done more than what I did that morning before my world tore into pieces.
