Alaina walked into college, she was in her last year and she was looking forward to going to university come fall. She'd applied to several universities in the U.K. hoping she would gain acceptance from one of the top universities to do her business degree. Her parents weren’t loaded but they had accepted that she wanted to go to university to study and she would be away from home till the holidays. They were extremely proud of her. She was really ambitious and wanted to own her own business one day. She was studying business at college but she wanted to further her education and do up to four years at university. She was also in turn during this time she was hoping her present situation would help her. Riviera international was a big co - operation she was working under Elijah Riviera the C.E.O and co founder of the company. She didn’t like him much, but found him to be tolerable. She’d been inturnong there for two years even though she didn’t like the man much she enjoyed her time there. she was hoping that he would allow her to inturn there once she began university and one day hoped she would be on the same authority as him. She was almost done with her classes when her phone rang. She slipped it out of her pocket taking the worst call of her entire life. “Alaina Hamilton?” “Yes.” “This is Dr. Costello of Drayton private hospital I understand you are next of kin on your mother and father's contact list.” “Y...yes.” “I’m sorry to inform you your parents have been in a serious car accident.” Her mobile fell to the ground, tears pooled in her eyes. “Miss Hamilton are you there?” Silence. “Miss Hamilton we need your signatures so they can go into theatre can you pleases can ASAP.’ “Yes.”She said, in a croaky voice after initial shock had finally set in and she’d picked up her mobile. She needed the call and ran for a taxi to get to the hospital. With her signature done the theatre was ready for her parents to go into. “Miss Hamilton?” “Yes.” “Just to let you know the operations went well and your parents are in ICU.” “Can I see them?” “You can, but you need to know that both you’re parents are in coma’s due to the horrific crash and we’re lucky to survive. We are not sure when they will wake.” “Okay.” “Follow me Miss. Hamilton.” She followed the doctor to her parents who were lying hooked up to machines to help them breathe. Her heart sank tears fell off her face this had got to be the worse day of her life. “We’re keeping a close eye on them Miss. Hamilton. Just incase there are any changes.” “Thanks doctor.” “My pleasure.” He walked away leaving her alone. She looked at her parents praying. “Please god, don’t let the die I don’t want to be left alone.’ Tears fell off her face. This had got to be the worse day of her life. Little did she knwo things were going to get a lot worse. 6 months later. She’d been working hard in her studeies to make her parents proud they were stil on a coma but the outcome looked very bleak her time at college was coming to an end it was now June amd it was getting hotter by the day though they had forecast rain it was still quiet hot. She’d been visiting her parents as much as possible and been working her ass off for Elijah too. She was so f*****g tired, but she had to keep going nothing much had changed on these past six months Elijah didn’t seem to care that her parents were both in hospital fighting for their lives he was such a cold hearted bastard. The doctors had now decided to turn the machines off that were keeping her parents alive, but she need to agree to it. She had high hopes that they would wake from their coma but as days turned into weeks , weeks into months it was getting less likely that they would ever wake. She had to make the hardest decision of her life; to let them turn off the machines they had advised her that even if there was a slight chance her parents would wake they may be cabbaged and she’d have to care for them for the rest of their lives shenwas willing to take that chance just to have them with her. She’d thought long and watching them laying thier not responding to her was heartbreaking she had to make the right decision she hoped she wouldn’t regret it on the future she loked at them one more time. “Sorry mom sorry Dad I have no choice I hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me.” She said, with tears in her eyes, streaming down her face.she’s signed the papers but couldn’t live with her decision so she decided to leave before the machines were turned off. Tears flew off her face as she walked home. To find masses of unpaid bills her parents were in debt how the hell was she going to pay all of this? She’d spoke to her lawyer after the funeral to find she had to give up the house that she’d grew up in. Where the hell was she going to live? Her dreams were falling apart with nothing left how was she supposed to go to university now? All her hoes and dreams had been shattered into tiny peices.
