“Please come along, Angie. It’ll be fun,” coaxed Steffi. Angela shook her head.
“No, Steff, you two go ahead. I’m good. I’ll just go to the library to get a membership,” said Angela. Steffi and Harry were going on a double date with Whitney and her boyfriend, Andrew, to his log cabin for two days. They wanted her to come along with Damian, but she declined.
They felt guilty for not being able to spend time together with her. “Are you sure?” asked a guilty-looking Steffi.
“Absolutely. Just enjoy,” said Angela as she went to the kitchen for her coffee. It was seven in the morning and they were ready to drive off to their destination.
The doorbell rang and Harry came in. He grinned at seeing Angela. “Hi, buddy. How are you?” he asked cheerfully, giving her a hug.
