Bob stared at the screen of his phone, shocked at what had just happened. How did the kidnapper know about the snippers? A surge of fear run through his system. He feared what the kidnapper would do next. He quickly sent a text message to Josh telling him to abort the mission and meet him at home.
As soon as Bob stepped into the living room, his wife and daughter who had been seated sprung up from their seats and threw their curious glances at him. They had been seated for the past three hours, waiting for him to come home with Emily. But the look on Bob’s face was enough to tell that things didn’t go well.
Bob dragged himself through the thick carpet to his usual sofa and let himself drop in the sofa like a dead tree.
