"Alright." Kara answered and hung up the phone. James was looking at her with his one brow raised in question. "Someone is waiting for you." she responded and started dressing up again properly. She combed her fingers through her hair to make them less messy. James sighed heavily in disappointment before he started fixing up his own clothes. He was turned around showing his back to her while buttoning his shirt when he felt her hug from behind, "we need to stop doing this in the office. Anyone can see us any time." James put his hands on her arms and brought her to the front, hugging her as his arms wrapped around her waist, "I don't mind." Kara's eyes shot up to meet his in surprise. If it were the same James as three years ago, he would never even have let her be seen alone in the same room as himself, let alone discovered by others in a compromising position. He had always been vary of his family, of them seeing their relationship as anything more than two people living in the same house. But since she had come back, his behavior had changed. It brought her happiness, but she feared that it was too late now. ***** Kara looked up at James and found his eyes stuck on the person standing in front of them both. A smile was on his face as he stared at his college friend, Tasha Grey, a famous model now. Kara saw him walk towards Tasha to quickly cross the distance. They hugged each other tightly, like they did not want it to end. Kara knew of Tasha being James' college friend for three years before she had graduated and left for France to prepare for a big ramp show. Kara also knew that Tasha had always been attracted to James, maybe in a one sided love as well with him. Now that she was back, Kara was shocked to see her come to meet James the first thing. Tasha grinned up at James, completely ignored Kara and murmured, "I missed you a lot! And these hugs too." James smiled at her and took her inside his office. Kara returned to her own seat and sat down. Her head leaning back on the chair. Her eyes fell shut and she tried to clear up her mind but the flickers of James with Tasha kept coming in front of her eyes, making her feel extremely uncomfortable and in pain. Her forehead was creased in tension when she felt a finger wipe on it to smoothen the skin. She somewhat recognized then touch, and opened her eyes with a frown but then as soon as she saw the person in front of her eyes, her mouth curved in a smile. "Damon." she stood up from her chair to face him. Before she could say anything else, he engulfed her in a hug. She could not resist and reciprocated his hug gently. "I have been missing being with you." Kara smiled softly. She had been missing having Damon around as well. He had been buried in work because of some new project and had not been able to see each other for days now.  "Me too." Kara responded meekly. Someone's gaze was stuck on them with enraged eyes. James had seen Kara go out of his office and enter into her own that was right across his own. The only thing seperating them were the transparent glass walls. The blinds of her cabin were open giving him a full view of her hugging Damon. He could see her face as Damon rubbed her hair and her back. James fingers tightened around the paperweight on the table in a tight fist. Tasha was talking constantly about something but his eyes were only watching Kara. He saw her come out of the hug and the tension in his body lessened slightly. "You looked so tensed when I came in. Are you doing alright, princess? Anything I can help with?" Kara smiled a little at his concerned face. In these three years Damon had also changed drastically. Before they used to be like cat and dog, ready to fight at each small thing but after her parents' death Damon had started to take care of Kara like his life was in her hands. It felt weird in the beginning, but then Kara slowly became used to being his first priority on every single, small matter. "Take a seat." she grinned, "you have been gone for so long. I was worried if it was going to be next year when I see you again." Damon put his hand on hers, clutching tightly and asked, "Did something happen with James? He did not misbehave, did he? Or got angry at you?" "He is not that bad."  "He is not bad, but he is not completely good either. I have always been worried he will hurt you during one of his angry episodes." Kara's gaze turned offended at his remark, "He has never hurt me, Damon. Not in the past and I know he is never going to." Damon sighed loudly, but did not respond. He believed Kara saw good in everything, even when James was bad to her she will not tell anyone.  "Okay, let's change the topic, what were you doing when I had been gone?" At his question the sudden flash of what James had done to her in his office flashed in front of her eyes, making a blush cover her cheeks completely. She gulped in nervousness, "nothing much. What about you? How come you are at the office today? Is the project finished?" "Had a meeting with the higher ups. Got approval on the designs and everything is sorted now." a sly smile covered his lips when he looked at her. "...and?" Kara asked suspeciously. "Got to attend a party. Want to join?" "You know I don't like to go to parties." Kara whined, "please don't ask me." "Gosh, are you the same chick who used to get crazy drunk in LA when being by my side? I am giving you an open invitation here!" Precap::: "Why are you here?" James asked in shock. "Must be following you like a good fiancee." Tasha mocked. Damon came towards them and slid his hand in Kara's waist while Kara's arm wrapeed around him in a side hug, "She is my fiancee, actually." his eyes dropped to look at Kara and grinned, "glad to see you, princess."
