"What did you say?" He gritted out each word, laced with disgust.
Nora stepped back involuntarily. The oppression of an Alpha was hanging over her head like a sword. The prime target of his vicious gaze was her but the rest of them felt it as well.
Nancy was headstrong. She pulled on Nora's wrist and put her behind.
Her lowered eyes flickered with some calculations that others couldn't see. She looked up at Asael and spoke up instead of Nora, who was already shivering.
"It's true. It happened a few days ago. Austin came over and that's when we found out that they are mates. Austin likes Nora so he rejected her right then."
A lot of details were missing. Nancy didn't bother explaining what happened before and after that. It was probably self evident. No one wanted dirty water on them
