Episode 52-the sad news

I let out a sharp cry as I felt the bullet pierce my back in surprise, but the pain quickly spread, I saw Hero at the edge of the shield looking at me or with a desperate need to draw me in but I knew moving close to him when my body was at the dangerous point, knowing this...I forced my weak body to stand and make a shield against any coming bullets but it turns out they had stopped firing, they must have wanted me alive...their f*****g mistake. I thought slowly walking towards them and all I could read was confusion on their faces.

"Are you trying to surrender?" The commander asked from within the troop as I forced myself to walk further while my body could no longer hold, I had less than 30secs, but I needed to go further and get away from Hero and the walls.

"Claire what are you doing?" I heard Hero yelled behind me but I kept walking towards the humans, each step harder than the previous but I didn't stop walking because I wasn't certain the shield will protect Hero from my radiation, it took a minute before the captain realized my intentions at that time...Barb and pulled Hero from the shield as I caught at the corner of my eyes and I had smirked feeling free energy burst out of me, spreading in waves after waves destroying everything on it's way, the tanks exploded, bombs went off and every tree around me died while the plants withered, the wave lasted for 1min but it was enough, by the time I hit the floor I could make out previous white bodies lying in front of me but I was too weak to see anything.

I felt myself relaxed and I felt at peace, Hero was beside me and beside us was a little boy who looked a lot like me, he had a smile on his face and his eyes were quite bright like Hero's. He was running around us in circles while I chuckled and Hero laughed.

"You'll fall young prince-" I cautioned the young alien but he didn't listen as he kept playing around and when he almost fell, I used my ability to stop him from reaching the ground.

"I warned you, you'll fall" I reprimanded as I walked closer to the boy and positioned him properly on the glowing white floor.

"I know mama, I'm just sure you'll catch me" He gave me a wide grin and I smiled running my hands through his shirt tentacles which coiled around my fingers in reaction tickling him a little as he was suddenly thrown into a laughing fit.

"I love you young prince" I cooed pulling him into my arms.

"I love you mama" He replied innocently and my eyes slowly opened to the world.

"I was on an hospital bed, not a peculiar one so I guess it wasn't on earth...but where exactly. I thought as I tried to stand but different the different wire extensions held me back and I figured I must have been in a terrible weird a*s shape to have so many tappings on me.

I steadied myself up the bed and before carefully removing each wire tapings on me probably used to managed my vitals. I had successfully done that and when I looked down to my stomach, my bump have gotten way bigger now and it's almost made me look like I'll be due soon. I sighed and slipped on an hospital robe which was quite different from those on earth though, so I'm guessing I'm on Zullion. I let out an exasperated sigh intending to go out when a panting Hero raced into the room like he just finished a marathon, his tentacles were scattered and face was perturbed, expression greatly disturbed making me worry why he had to be so scattered.

"You're...you're awake?" He panted softly, having me wonder if that was a question or a declaration to himself.

"Yeah I am...how long have I been out and where am I?" I questioned but instead of answering my questions, he pulled me into his arms and squeezed me into a warm hug that almost seized my breath.

"I...think that's enough" I croaked out as I could hardly breath.

"Sorry" He apologized and I sighed out in relief after he released me.

"I was carrying a baby you know" I reminded him and he moved his hand to scratch his head like a child, the action was kinda cute though.

"You've been out for 46 human days, when you passed out and the human troops sent to stop us from leaving all died, no troops came after and everyone was able to leave...we are the last set but your body have been refusing to repair itself for some reason until few days ago, when you started to heal up on your own" Hero softly explained and I smiled, glad to hear that.

"So everyone's safe?" I questioned happy to about the news.

"Yes, but you almost died-

"But I didn't, did I?" I smiled but Hero's smile was gone and his expression suddenly got replaced by that of anger and agony.

"I could have lost you with our baby Claire...I have to do all I could to bring you back-

"Hero" I called softly wanting to calm him down since I felt he was starting to get real mad.

"I could have lost you, I could have lost our baby...I could have been mateless, I could have been fatherless" He shut his eyes tight and clenched his fist, making every object cringe and move making rumbling sound as they all vibrate in their fixed position, knowing how mad Hero was at the moment...I hugged him.

"I'm sorry...I should have listened to you...I shouldn't have put our baby in danger" I apologized calmly hoping that'll be enough to soothe him and it did work, he sighed and slowly started to calm down, all rumbling died down and all that could be heard was the shallow breaths of Hero and I as we stayed fixed in the same position.

"I didn't mean to get mad-

"I know you were only worried" I replied in understanding and he exhaled softly as he slowly wrapped his hands around me.

"So we are headed to Zullion now?" I questioned I released and Hero nodded.

"How long will it take to get there now-" I was still asking when the ship made a weird sound and draw my attention.

"Apparently, we just landed" Hero announced and I gave him a big smile.

"We made it" I exclaimed leaving the chambers and hastily moving towards the large screen showing a bright accurate view of Zullion as we got closer.

"Rhofik and Rhafik...we will be entering into the Zullion atmosphere in 3 mins, please make sure to all be seated and safely strapped to the chairs to avoid collision with anyone and objects" The warning blared at the intercom while Hero slowly led me to catch a sit on the group of seats where every one on the ship were all seated and immediately strapping up to maintain precautions and be safe.

They all made head gestures showing respect as Hero and I slowly took our seats, he helped me strapped up and get ready.

"Are you okay?" Hero questioned as he slowly adjusted the belts around me while he fixed his.

"Yeah....I'm fine" I replied and he smiled setting himself in place while we waited for the ship to zoom into Zullion's atmosphere and in 10mins, we were landing the ship into the space control station where a lot of Hero's subordinates awaited him, including one of his brothers. I'm guessing...they've been the one managing the state affairs since he was away.

"Your Highnesses" One of his brothers I'm guessing was Kio greeted us warmly as he walked towards us, but his face was rigid and solid and his smile looked faked.

"Brother" He called Hero warmly as they exchanged pleasantries and soon we were venturing to the pods that was supposed to get us back to the palace but after being successfully strapped to the chair, Hero moved to another separate compartment in the transport pod to have a chat with his brother, probably about the state affairs but free some minutes, I heard a yell and also, the pod jacking and my heart raced, I pulled myself out of the chair, immediately undoing the straps and racing to find Hero.

Hero had a furious and dangerous look on his face and I must confess, I haven't seen him that mad before...his brother was struggling to his feet and was holding his side so I'm guessing a fight ensued between them.

"What's going on?" I questioned with my brows slightly furrowed as I studied the boys.

"I'm fine" Hero gritted harshly and I frowned not sure I wanted to welcome that attitude from him.

"I'm sorry" He finally relaxed a little after studying the persistent look on my face.

"We had a problem-

"I can see that, what I'm asking you right now is to tell me what the f*****g problem is" I couldn't hide the annoyance in my tone is.

"I am just outraged my brothers couldn't manage the capital well enough-

"It's way more that that Hero don't bullshit me" I was getting really mad now.

"Zioko escaped....with my brother" He declared and my brows immediately twitched.

"What?" I couldn't help questioning as I didn't want to jump into conclusions at the moment, at least not yet...I really didn't want to start thinking the one person that was the cause of my life's destruction was out of captivity and roaming around freely...that could get really messy.

"Zioko managed to escape prison and take my brother and step mother with him. The three are out-

"Don't say it" I clenched my fist, shut my eyes trying to much not to listen to what was coming next.

"They escaped the stone hive they were kept" Hero finally completed and I felt my shoulder sagged...I can't f*****g believe this.
