My Rebirth as an alien Queen

Episode 15-Leaving the palace.

A lot of questions piled up in my head as I returned to my chambers with Hero, I wanted to help him quite alright but I wasn't sure if I wanted to try the mating thing with him at all, if it had been seconds before Barb woke up, I would have gladly accepted but after Barb woke up I got back to my senses and I didn't want to actually go on with the mating thingy. I was confused about what to do as I stood off the disoriented looking Hero, he looked like he was still struggling but all of a sudden he gasped and his eyes got brighter, his pale face started to return to the normal color, he let out a heavy sigh and quickly moved to hug me.

"Don't worry about it anymore Claire, I know you don't want to do this...I was trying to tell you that the command will pass, it takes a while but it'll pass but I couldn't think about anything else than doing what you asked me, you don't have to worry about it" Hero smiled and I also heaved a sigh of relief. Hero slowly pulled away and I felt his warmth replaced by the cold air of the environment.

"You did need to get ready to see my brothers though" He smiled and I grinned glad it was over but something suddenly occurred to me.

"When...when you kissed me and stuff, why did you...you weren't aiming for the mating thing because I know it was after the command that you started aiming for it, why?" I asked and he froze as he was almost at the door. He turned back and gave me a wry smile.

"I know you weren't ready Claire, it was what I wanted to check with our Fils connected but you weren't ready...though you wanted it too or it might just be Aira's body but the Claire in there didn't want it. I was just a little selfish because I didn't want to stop even if I knew I should have stopped...I'm sorry" I don't know but when he said that, something happened to me...I couldn't guess what but I felt my heart beating faster than usual and then he left and closed the door behind him.

I felt a sudden warm envelope me and it felt so different, I raised my hands to my new heart and I could hear the loud thumping from the inside. Actually, the only person I'd ever reacted to that much was Nicholas and it f*****g scared me, nevertheless I walked to the closet and tried to pick a dress on my own to go out with Hero but it was a total failure.

"Oh please," I jolted at Barb's sudden voice behind me.

"Barb you scared the living daylight out of me" I glared at her and she shrugged walked past me and dug her hands into the closet pulling out a Gothic-looking black dress.

"Take this, it'll look good on you" Barb shrugged and my brows immediately furrowed at the sudden changes I was noticing about her, the way she sounds and moves and twitches her fake brows was so...girly.

"Why are you doing that?" I couldn't help asking because now she was twirling her fake hair and it was freaking me out.

"What?" Her eyeballs bulged a little and I frowned.

"Seriously Barb what is up with you, you're acting like a high school girl aware of her crush-

"Was it that obvious?" She feigned surprise and I gave her the "Seriously?" kind of look.

"Actually I was thinking you might need a girlfriend in your life that's why My new program is weird" Barb suddenly said and I frowned even more.

"Seriously Barb you're scaring me" I stated and she chuckled...a real human-like chuckle that made goosebumps rise all over me, I started to hope Barb being created to look so human wasn't a terrible idea.

"I must have gone overbearing" Her voice suddenly returns to normal.

"After searching a while for how to make you feel better using the earth-related searches I figured what a girl truly needs is a girlfriend that will always listen to her, so I research how girlfriends act and I adapted into all I've researched" Barb explained and I laughed.

"You didn't have to go to such length, I did need a girlfriend but I don't need a girly girlfriend Barb, I need someone who is much like me-

"According to you...you need someone who's opposite you to make a relationship work. You both can be always serious and boring-

"Are you for real right now? I'm boring and serious?" My jaw dropped in shock as Barb slapped the truth to my face.

"Yes, according to earth analysis you are boring as f**k!" My jaw dropped even more and I just blinked in shock at what Barb just said.

"I'm gonna tell Hero to do something about you, you've become a crazy robot overnight" I laughed so hard that my stomach hurts.

"Better get into that cloth girl or you're gonna be late for your date-

"It's not a date" I retorted sharply and Barb did the eyes rolling thingy again.

"You two going out together isn't a date...please tell me what is?" Barb decided to freak me out more by a cat walking away from me leaving me in a laughing fit, Maybe the sudden change isn't bad after all.

"Maybe you're right Barb, I might be boring-

"No, not might...you are boring" Barb corrected and I laughed.

"Who wouldn't be after witnessing an apocalypse that took everyone you loved away then woke up in the past fighting to stop the damn apocalypse...it has been hard for me Barb," I said slipping into my dress and staring at myself in the mirror. The hair Hero packed up for me was still there and I couldn't suppress the smile that formed at the corner of my lips.

"That's why you deserved some happiness Claire" Barb's voice softened as our eyes met in my reflection in the mirror.

"I think you like Hero" Here she goes again except this time she had a face to show her emotions.

"It might sound stupid but this is another chance for you to be happy, to have another family of your own...to live a life outside worries" Families, I sighed even thinking about it. I haven't really thought of it...maybe if I had survived on earth I might actually have grown, have my dream job, and build a family of my own but I don't know if that was even possible now.

"You're 26 now Claire...did you know that?" That declaration had me abruptly meet Barb's eyes, so much time has passed. When I stopped the apocalypse...I was 22, which means it had been four years since I left my family and I wondered...how has their life been since then. I felt a tear slipped down my cheek and right then the door slid open and Hero made his way in...he had a ring on his head that made my brows furrowed tight but then it dawned on me...he was a king. I faked a smile to hide my tears as he walked closer in his long golden glimmering tunic with a dark cloak to cover it.

"You look amazing by the way" Even though his alien features were still there, for some kind of reason I stopped seeing him as ugly, the fact is Hero is handsome even as an alien, I quickly deduced that after seeing aliens around, some with a crooked nose, shirt eyes...spooky eyes but Hero was just a standout...I knew that minute Hero was handsome as an alien.

"Thank you" He smiled awkwardly and brought out something from his cloak before a green glow started to ripple on his head and I was immediately convinced he was shy. He had a tiara in his hand and I guess that was his reason for being shy. I moved closer to him and smile urging for him to go ahead and returned it warmly before raising the Tiara and placing it on my head setting it probably.

"It looked great on you," He remarked and I shrugged.

"We should get going," I told him as our gazes on each other started to get intense. Hero led me out and we walked quietly down the stairs passing the middle of eight Rafik, four on both side and there were in a parallel line, facing each other as we passed between them and immediately we were in front of them, they turned and marched slowly behind us so I guess they were guards since they wore matching set of clothes that I considered their uniform.

I was kinda nervous since I hadn't left Hero's quarters since I woke up, I had explored the palace but I haven't stepped a foot outside so, I was extremely nervous, unfortunately, Hero was too and I could sense it by the dancing of his eyeballs. Of course, he should be. Asking forgiveness from the same people you banished wouldn't be so easy. I held his hand and gave him an assuring smile. Then we exit his quarters, the brightness of the early afternoon star made me want to cover my eyes but I decided to enjoy the feel of sunshine, which reminded me of earth.

After we got closer to the main entrance of the palace I saw a carriage which was attached to horse-like creatures except this horse had 6 legs instead of four and it was two of them so I supposed they would be pulling the carriage. A Ghafil in a cloak was in front of the carriage holding the reins as one of the guards pull open the door to let us in. I was freaking nervous, I held up my gown and was about to get in when I saw Barb in a dark cloak behind the guards escorting us making me clumsily bumped my head against the edge of the carriage as I tried to go in. I saw the guard holding the door grimaced as my head collided with the frame. Ignoring how embarrassed I was I immediately move in to allow the ripple to travel down my head as I was too embarrassed. Hero smiled as he looked at me, he saw it so I guess that's why he was giving me a funny sympathetic look.

"It's not funny" I whined as he stifled his laughter while watching me get more embarrassed.

"What's Barb doing here anyway?" I asked turning back to Barb who also had a mocking smile on her lips.

"She goes wherever you go" Heron answered and I scowled at him. The carriage started to move and I watched through the carriage window the beautiful view of the palace slowly passing by, the inside of the carriage was really comfy, it was nice...everything was white including the seats and the embedded middle table between Hero's seat and I. The seats had rough fabric on them but it was quite comfortable...I looked out of the circular frame window as we pass by the fountains in the palace environment, I could still see the long pavement we were riding on and the experience of seeing what lies beyond the palace was quite intriguing to me. The moment the gates dissolved to let us out I got so excited that I moved closer to the window to see Ghafils still standing guard at the palace gate....it appears to me that nothing existed in the palace environment but after a while, we got into a very rowdy place where lots of Ghafils were and Rhafils were trading...

"You have money in here," I asked watching two Ghafils in a negotiation from the window.

"Yes," Hero answered but my eyes were still fixed on the two Ghafils. Then my eyes fell on a Rofik, a female Ghafil with a baby in her hands...darn it the baby was damn cute, the baby looked so...human and our eyes met and he giggled. I've seen Ghafil kids before...one time that I sneaked into their ship but I've never seen one like this...I watched as the baby pass by since our carriage was still in motion. Then my eyes fell on small Ghafils running around in another path leading inside what I guessed was the market. My eyes fell on a bright green coin been exchanged by a trader that was selling hair bands and a customer Ghafil with a woven leave basket in hand, then suddenly another Ghafil ran past him and snatched his bag running to another direction and my eyes widened in shock. I got mad all of a sudden and controlled the Ghafil with just my thoughts send him flying back to the Rafik he had snatched his bag. The Rafik suddenly turned to our carriage and bowed his head as if realizing I'd done it, it made me really happy that I grinned in response

"I see you're loving your Rhafils" Hero's voice made me jolt as he stared at me in amusement.

"This place...it's amazing" I admitted staring out to see a storey building with a Rhafik sun-drying clothes on the rails but I suddenly picked on something.

"Hero, stop the carriage" I pleaded in a panicky voice and Hero talked to what seems like a speaker at the door side of the carriage. The carriage halted and I immediately climbed down running with my gown in my hands until I got to the building just in time for the Ghafil that had successfully fit herself into the railings to come falling and I immediately opened my arms wide for her to fall into, I heaved a heavy sigh of relief as the child landed into my hands and I heaved a heavy sigh of relief before meeting the child's adorable face and I was delighted to see her giggle.

The child's mother I guess came running and I saw a smile of happiness on her face as I returned to her the little alien I caught in the sky, Hero had walked out of his carriage and was walking towards me while everyone was bowing, back flat...his smile only grows bigger and I was glad that made him happy.

"Brother?" We heard someone call and we turned to see the two people we were going to meet with a basket in their hands. Then they slowly bowed making Hero sigh, then I saw his nervousness grow, he went numb, obviously...he hadn't seen his brothers since Aira died.
