Episode 24-Exposed

Hero slowly turned back to look at me unable to believe what he’d just heard but I’d already blurted it so I guess there was no taking it back. I sighed and gave him a small smile indifferent about what I had blurted to him unconsciously, but instead of saying anything he pulled my neck towards him meeting my lips with his as he slowly crashed us back to bed, I felt a sudden feeling of peace and serenity after that.

“I’m serious Hero, no more mistakes…try to change, be a passionate leader. Don’t do around killing people who go against you, any more mistakes and I’m gonna punish you greatly” I threatened him after advising him earnestly as I lay on his chest enjoying the moment as I was too tired, an aftermath of our consecutive mating.

“I’ll try my best” was all he managed to say before he shut his eyes and fell into a deep slumber, I guess we were both used up.

After that day, Hero and I got along better. He was happy because half of 70% of his responsibilities had been lifted by his brothers and newly found friend and robot; I get to spend more lady time with Barb and also get to visit outside the palace walls. Arinxon was beautiful, it was colourful and bright and the Ghafils were kind and welcoming because I had disguised my way out, most of them welcomed strangers properly while others don’t. it was just like earth, the diversity and differences were there, some Ghafils were short, some were tall, some were giant and some were dwarfs. Walking around the city with Barb was wonderful, they even have a theatre where they air drama made by their people but some part of me knew all these changes were new, it must have been after they stormed earth, they had told me their planet was dying but Zullion looks really healthy, from my point of view of course.

Barb and I had returned from the famous restaurant in town and were too tired so I went straight to my room while asking her to bring my dinner. After she left, I decided to change into more comfortable clothes and I had just finished doing that when I heard something fall outside the door.

“Barb is that you?” I questioned whoever it might be but there was only silence and after sighing in relief and turning my back to the door, I heard it slipped open and I was about to turn when I felt a strong hand covering my mouth. I struggled against it and tried to wriggle free from the hold but it was quite firm.

“Shh” Whoever it was hushed and I felt a terrible panic rose to my chest.

“I’m just here to tell you something, the king is just using you…he cannot survive without a mate that is why he brought you back. He never let you go back on earth, he had kept you in a soul jar and watched you every night before going to bed, he knew Aira wouldn’t last long and you were his back up, he brought you back regardless of how you feel about it…and believe me, if he had saved your mate soul as he saved yours, you would be living happily together with him now, but he was selfish” I would have kicked the man or break his limbs for touching me but I was too dumbfounded, I was too overwhelmed by the news that I just froze but before the man could say anymore thing to me, I felt him being torn away from my back by Barb.

Barb caught him and threw him hard against the wall before running to him like a flash and strangely arranging her hand to form a dagger which she dug into her side, more damage would have ensued as I stood numbly and watch if Hero hadn’t arrived just in time.

“Barb that’s enough” He immediately instructed and Barb went on standby, Hero controlled the man towards him and removed his cloak and his heavy mask. It was Zioko and he was grinning with a smug expression on his face as she stared at Hero in satisfaction and contentment.

“You took everything from me, so I’ll take your everything away from you” Zioko with a b****y mouth, and before…Hero would have actually removed his heart that instant but he just commanded Barb to take him to the deepest and darkest dungeon on Zullion after which he turned to me with a little confused expression on his face as he watched me.

“Are you okay?” He questioned narrowing his face at me as he got closer putting his hand on my arms and softly warmly rubbing them in an attempt to calm me obviously but there was n way I was gonna be calm after hearing all of that. I needed the truth and I needed it fast before my brain blows out in confusion.

“Hero” I breathed and Hero worries more as my face paled and started to make a weird sound I’ve never heard myself make before, snapped my head towards different direction different times before closing the gap between us and kissing him, now he was confused and I don’t mind as long as I get the truth out of him, he started to relax, thank God…thought that will never happen. Our Fils connected and we both breathed out calmly, I can feel him surfing my mind and when he found that piece of information Zioko had shared with me earlier, he started to get agitated and tried to pull away but I was a little stubborn as I sink deeper into his mind wondering what he was hiding. Then I found what I was looking for, back on earth when he had freed me from my body, he didn’t really free me, he made everyone believe that of course…I could see everyone watching him sadly.

My parents, my friends, my brother who side by side we had stood to stop the apocalypse, I saw everyone’s image and saw myself been trapped in a bottle beneath Hero’s cloak, I was a white flowing substance and Hero had moved back to put me on his ship, I dug deeper into his memory of how he had successfully become king and fell in love with Aira, I saw how he had tried to impress her, woo her and made her marry him but he would still go down a deep part of the palace and talk to me whenever he feels alone, he would talk to me in the jar I was trapped in while I danced around to be set free but he would just talk and talk, and when Aira become pregnant with his child he started to grow restless because he was scared she wouldn’t make it, she had told me this while I was still trapped, he worked day and night finding a cure for Aira’s body but it took him a lot of time to find what he was looking for.

Then one night while he was making a potion his two brothers came to him and told him they know about the trapped soul he kept hidden in the palace basement, they suggested to him that if it turns out that Aira didn’t make it, he could still have a mate by bringing me to her body, but he blatantly refused to listen to them telling them he wouldn’t t*****e me that way because I wouldn’t want that, they suggested that he wouldn’t have to tell me he brought me back but he still turns them down telling them he could just rewind time and keeps Aira’s soul but his brothers told him the Ghafil stone was not ready for harvest and they all knew it was going to be futile since the stone only works for the events of rewinding time and bringing back old souls only when it was ready for harvest, Hero still refused though, until he lost Aira for good and he knew he could never survive, then he walked down to the basement and brought out my soul trapped in the jar to perform some weird ritual where he successfully transformed me into Aira’s body, after he had banished his brothers, so this was how the two men knew me without having to introduce myself, because they knew I could never be Aira…so I was definitely the trapped soul in the basement.

I instantly released myself from Hero who had the time had a panicky expression on his face, he should panic, because I was about to make his life a little miserable, he would regret ever trapping me like that, he would regret ever deceiving my family and would regret every single thing he had done to me, the lies he had told me, for a moment I wanted to think about how Zioko become aware of it since it appears he had escaped prison to tell me this and from his earlier conversations during his treachery…he had no idea or was he lying, I decided to shove it down to the back of my mind while I pick my bones with Hero who looked terrified by my appearance…he really should be, I didn’t notice the green light that had started to revolve around my hand and all of a sudden I sent him flying outside my room by hitting him with a heavy force from this light.
