Episode 22-The wrong judgement

I felt so weak and tired after Hero did another exploration of my body; He had his arms around me with my back turned to him and his head partially rested on mine as he enclosed me in his arms. We stayed silent for a while until Hero begins to tickle my back slightly as he nuzzled his nose to it. Our fils were still connected and I could still hear his thoughts, I don’t know why he kept repeating just how long he had been waiting for me to open up to him but he felt very happy, suddenly he pulled away and out of bed moving sluggishly into the bathroom. I heaved a heavy sigh wondering how my life was going to change with what just happened between Hero and I, I knew this had finally proved I had accepted everything of my new life including Hero shifted in his massive bed and felt the need to sleep again and slowly I embraced it but I heard Hero exist the bathroom and I heard him walk over to the bed laying soft kiss on my head before his footsteps started to fade to the direction of the closet, whatever happens after that wasn’t registered until the sweet aroma of food hit me that had me fluttering my eyes open.

“goddamnit, I’m so hungry” I groaned and slowly stood moving to the direction of the food, it was on a floating table that had two stools standing next to it and I was about to sit when Barb’s voice jolted me.

“I think you should get dress first” Barb suggested and I instantly put my hands up my chest trying to calm myself.

“Seriously Barb you scared the s**t out of me” I complained digging into my favourite dish.

“You seriously shouldn’t be eating n***d, any servants sent to clear the king’s room would see you, you are f*******n to be glanced sexually at and you could get them killed if you sit there flashing your n***d breast” Barb made a face and I laughed while eating and still ignoring her.

“Seriously Barb, you are at the door what could seriously pass you?” Barb groaned inwardly then slowly walked to me to fit me into a robe while I struggled to get the food in my mouth while doing so.

“You look different today, you are ecstatic and contented” I immediately shot Barb a questioning look.

“I could tell by reading the level of hormones in your body and right now your body has an excess of dopamine which I guess must be because of your intimacy with the king last night” Barb spoke and I scowled at her.

“Do you have to pay attention to the smallest details Barb?” I quirked a brow at her and she gave me a wolfish grin that made me scoff.

“Where’s Hero anyway?” I questioned realising he wasn’t anywhere around.

“The king is holding an important court session where he would be able to convict his brother for the crimes he had committed.

“He finally finished collecting all the evidence he could?” I asked in surprise and Barb nodded.

“I wish I could watch” I felt suddenly nervous guessing how hard it will be for Hero right now.

“You could, I can connect to the camera in the court hall and make a life broadcast for you” With that been said Barb immediately made her eyes bigger almost freaking me out but she project a bright light after she controlled the light in Hero’s room to go dimmer…then the light she from projecting from her eyes fell on the solid wall in front of me and I was able to see the court session. I smiled excitedly after seeing Hero sitting elegantly on his throne with his court members standing in their alien cloak attire. I think it’s strange how almost everyone of them put on dark cloak with imprints or embroidery on them.

“Why can’t I hear what they are saying Barb?” I asked after staring at the image of Hero in his court but was not able to make out what he was saying to his brother who had a terrified expression on his face.

“Pardon me, I’m trying to connect to my speakers” With that, Hero’s voiced boomed and the sound seems to be coming from Barb but I didn’t mind.

“Answer me brother!?” Hero bellowed angrily at his brother who just stood trembling in front of Hero.

“Are you going to deny all the claims and charges against you Zioko despite these evidences?” Hero asked in a deep baritone voice that made me red somehow. I loved his voice…oh god save me, I thought as I begin to recall the passionate night I had shared with him, the recollection had me biting down on my lower lip as I suddenly felt my stomach clench in excitement.

“You and your accomplices are highly guilty of treason brother, you did not only try to murder the queen but also conspire against me because of me I sentence him to the death of fury” murmurs immediately rise in the courtroom and I wondered what that was.

“Barb, what’s the death of fury?” I questioned out of curiosity.

“It is the highest punishment someone can receive from the king, those people would be lead to the green blasting volcano to be burnt in the liquid magma” Barb explained and my jaw drop at the cruel punishment Hero had passed.

“Why would he give his brother’s sentence like that?” I felt my heartbeat raced in my chest as Hero concluded his court session while his newly recruited guards immediately seized Zioko and few other officials before leading them away, my eyes fell on Zioko’s brothers, Nio wasn’t looking very pleased but Kio looked contented. Is Hero out of his goddamn mind? He was really going to throw his brother inside hot magma, is he for real? I wondered as I stood and head for my room, immediately showering and getting into a light plain cream dress with jewels taping the edges immediately I walked out of my room Barb followed and I started to walk out of Hero’s quarters. I kept walking passing by different part of the palace until I met Hero walking towards the direction of the royal quarters with his two brothers. He was smiling before but seeing the look on my face his smile slowly disappeared.

“Would you care to explain what that was all about?” I questioned Hero after he got close enough.

“What are you talking about?” He asked and I bite back my anger as I was slowly seething.

“You’re really going to throw you brother into a boiling magma are you insane Hero? What has come over you? I questioned him and he sighed before turning to his two brothers who immediately excused him.

“Claire, he tried to kill us both-

“Didn’t justify that cruel and horrible death you’re going to give him Hero I would not be in support of that!” I insisted and Hero shut his eyes tightly as if fighting his anger.

“He deserve no mercy from you or anyone for everything he’s done-

“Are you not worried about what your people would think of you Hero? a cold blooded king that isn’t scared burn his brother alive in hot magma? Have you no heart or consideration. Even if you are going to kill him you can’t give him such a horrible death Hero, it’s not you!” I snapped at him and I saw his eyes darkened in his socket.

“Don’t tell me what I can do or cannot do Claire” Hero seems to be controlling his anger making me scoff.

“I expected more from you Hero, yes he had done you so much wrong including killing the person you loved the most but roasting your brother isn’t going to bring her back, what is wrong with you-

“Don’t bring her into this, Claire you have no idea how-

“I have every idea about it because I saw through your mind Hero and I know this isn’t you-

“I have had enough of this debate Claire, go back to your room” He commanded and I scoffed inwardly.

“Were you always a killer? Are you always so fond of killing people? Then how are you any different from your brother?” Probably I shouldn’t have said that because Hero snapped and the massive energy he released sent me flying then I hit a pillar holding the open corridor, I instantly passed out in effect.
