"You are acting weird today." Sage noticed. "No, I'm not!" Jess countered a little too fast. Sage raised a brow at her answer. "Then why aren't you coming with me to lunch? You have been holed up in this tiny office not even once you came out." Sage accused. "It's just that I have a lot of pending work." Jes tried to defend herself and technically that wasn't a lie. She did have a lot of work. "You know that you can tell me anything right?" Sage asked in a coaxing tone, seeing straight through her friend's bullshit. "Of course I know that." Jes gave her a gentle smile. "Then why the f**k aren't you telling me what is wrong with you? Look here, b***h! I hate it when someone lies to me. So spill before I torture the truth out of you." Sage banged her hands on Jes's desk, startling her.
