"If she barely got any friends stay away from that b***h because that means she's crazy and the few friends she got are crazy too"
♡♡♡Present Time♡♡♡
"Mr.Andrew do you think there is any play of fate in your success?"
'People believe that if they can't get something that's because of their fate but I believe that if you want something then work hard, fight hard until you get it.
I'm not one of those who blame their failures or success on fate, maybe because I never had a taste of failure and I would like to keep it that way.'
"After all this success do you still wish for something that you haven't achieved yet?"
'Today Raphael Andrew is one of the biggest names in the business world and my company is one of the leading companies in the world. I have everything one can wish for. There is nothing that I can't achieve.'
"Have you lost anything on your way to success?"
'In my life, I have lost only one thing and that's the ability to trust. There are only a few people I fully trust.'
"And why's that?"
'The only problem with people is that they can only wish or dream. They don't have the guts to work hard and achieve something so they go for the easy way, betrayal. I'm surrounded by people who can do anything to snatch my position and power so for me trusting someone is not an option. Everyone wants something from me. The hunger for power can really do thin__'
"Stop reading that goddamned magazine and HELP ME!" Maddy shrieked snatching the magazine out of Jes's hands.
"That's what I'm doing b***h! Now give it back." She snapped at him.
Gosh! He was such a drama queen.
"What? How can you help me by wasting your time in reading these stupid magazines? And By the way, when did you start reading business magazines? Don't tell me you're planning to quit your job and take over your mom's business." Maddy snapped back while scanning the magazine Jes was reading.
Maddy was my childhood friend. And my adulthood best friend. We completed our degrees from Pairs in different fields but luckily got jobs at the same place.
He was the only person who was not affected or intimidated by Jes's over-possessive and protective brothers or she should say her once possessive and protective brothers...
Whatever!
"I'm not going back there so handling mom's business isn't going to happen." Jes replied nonchalantly. Maddy was wise enough to change the topic because he knew that her family was a sensitive topic for her and she didn't talk about them or discuss anything related to them.
According to Jes's parents, she was a little baby who needed an all-time babysitter or she was...
From the past four years, she was living on my own with her loyal pain in the ass bestie. Everyone knew from the start that Jes's brothers and she was going to handle their parent's business while that worked for her brothers it didn't work out for Jes.
"Jes please I'm serious. We only have six months until we return to our jobs. I just want to spend some time with her..." He pleaded while giving her his best puppy dog eyes.
God! Not those eyes.
"Maddy what if my parents found me in Paris? And not to mention those two assholes." Jes said trying to knock some sense in his thick skull.
"Gosh, Jes! Stop making excuses. Paris is a big city you're not going to run into them. Please it's not even for that long. Just three months and then we will spend the rest doing our crazy stuff." Maddy pleaded.
"Maddy you are not realizing how serious it is. You are not asking me to go on a date at Emily's place, you're asking me for identity theft. It's a serious crime." Jes tried again to reason with her crazy bestie who was hell-bent on landing her ass in jail.
"Come on! Now you're just making lame excuses. No one knows Emily there and for the matter, no one knows you there too. Nothings gonna happen. Please..." Maddy said, dragging the please a little extra long.
Grrr! How can she say no to him...
Actually, Maddy was planning to propose his girlfriend Emily before they returned to their jobs. Maddy and Emily worked in the army with her.
Maddy always wanted to serve our country but due to the lack of physical fitness he was rejected during his selection as a soldier but that didn't stop him from joining the army.
He applied for the position of an army doctor for himself and for a position of cook for Jes and it was their luck that they got selected. And now he was working as a physiotherapist while Jes working as a head cook for the army.
They have worked hard for two years without a single off duty day and now they were going to spend their well deserved six months vacation enjoying and doing crazy stuff.
They have planned everything that they were going to do during their vacation. Their plan included everything from strip clubs to skydiving. It was packed with crazy stuff. Only if he fulfilled his promise of returning after three months from his lovey-dovey trip.
Sometimes Jes missed her parents, she hadn't met them for the past four years but it was for the best if she stayed away from them.
She didn't want to leave her family but sometimes you are just out of options and at that time it was better for her to leave. They didn't need her anymore. She was just a burden on them.
Hell! Her own mother told her to leave.
It still hurt, her telling Jes to leave. She still remembered that day when her mother believed someone else over her own blood. She threw Jes away to protect her dear son's life.
Well, congratulations mom! She officially out of your lives now.
She don't want to return to Paris not because she was afraid that she will run into her family.
She was damn sure that her family won't even recognize her. She was not that skinny weird girl with thick glasses on her nose and a few handful hairs on her head, a cancer survivor who left home like a coward.
Staying away from home really changed Jes physically and emotionally...
All thanks to her so-called brother. . .
Pushing the thoughts of her family away she tried to reason with her stubborn best friend yet again.
"Do you have any idea how risky your plan is? After two years we got a chance to go on a vacation and you want me to land my ass in jail? If a single thing got out of hand this Raphael guy isn't going to spare us." Jes said while throwing the magazine at his face where she was reading Raphael Andrew's interview.
"Jes Emily and I have planned this out perfectly. There is no chance in hell of us getting caught." Maddy announced, catching the magazine before it hit his face.
"Yeah because both of you will be on your trip when they will be throwing me in jail." Jes said with a straight face.
"Please Jes you know how important this is for me..." Maddy begged. He was pouting, his cute puppy eyes on full display.
Now how can she say no to that face?
"Okay fine! But if we got caught you and Emily are going to take all the blame. I'm not going to jail. Not even for you." She snapped. After all, without Maddy, she had nowhere else to go and nothing to do on her vacation. So why not help his pleading ass.
Ooh God! Jes had a feeling that she was so going to regret this because this Raphael guy didn't seem really friendly and on top of that if she got caught her business license can be canceled and she'll possibly be going to jail but definitely not alone...
If she went down she was taking both of them with her~
