I know Daisy doesn’t like me very much, and every time I try to get closer to her, she puts up a wall. Every time I tear that one, she puts up another, and then another until I am far away from her. She became so far and yet so close, like a beautiful rose flower with thorns, that I could only admire her from afar. Every second of her attention to me was priceless, my adorable little Daisy, beautiful just like her name, and while it’s frustrating that she always puts me at arms length, I don’t blame her, because she would be all mine if Ember wasn’t in the picture, taking away every ounce of her affection, obscuring me from her love, her utter perfection, and every single time I want more from her warmth and admiration.
