THE LION AND THE RAT, is a story of how a lion once threatened a rat and how the rat helped the lion.

once upon a time there lived a rat in a bushy grassland, one day, she decided to take a tour to the jungle in search for food, she came along a huge mountainous animal that laid harmlessly on the grassy land, out of curiosity, she decided to check whether it was alive or dead, she walked around perhaps to see if he could move,but to he surprise the lion didn't, she decided to climb his body and got to his ears but the lion just waved his ears as if to chase flies, she went down to his claws, and decided to chew them, accidentally, she chewed the lions skin,
The lion woke up with pain and grabbed the tiny creature ,squeezed it between his fierce claws, "you silly tiny creature,!" I will crash you into powder!!he pressed it as if it was a slice of bread, the rat was soo terrified that her seed like heart almost popped out. "grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! grrrrrrrr!!! the lion roared with horror, he pressed it even more, the rat tried to plead with the wild lion but she wa sooo scared that she almost loosened her bowels, she finally gained courage and pleaded with him,"pl......e......a.......s......e.........p.....l......e......a.....s...e....I...wi....l...l.h......e..l...p.....you....one.....day. "
The lion burst into laughter, "hahahahahaha! hahahahaha.......hahahahaaaaaaaaaaa! aha! ahahaha! "you? help who ??? me? the king of the jungle!!!", oh please, spare me that crap, I mean how? i can't even imagine.......the rat apologised and promised to never bother him again, The lion threw the tiny rat into the air,and the rat dropped on the ground like a popcorn,and dashed with relief into the thicket, she sighed and sworn to her soul never to risk his life again. and never to get any closer to a carnivorous .
The lion continued sleeping as if nothing happened but kept laughing thinking about how a rat could help him.
Years passersby and live was at normal, the rat went on with her life and so did the lion.
A natural calamity of draught hit the land, and food became as scarce as a hen's milk.
animals went as far as they possibly could in search of greener pastures, the lion was no exemption, he decided to get even into homesteads, He became a real threat to humanity, people gathered for a solution, and they decided to make a trap for the scary
animal that has been feeding on their dear livestock.
They made a tap using a very thick plastic mesh. and another trap which they put a fat cow, the lion arrived just on time and crept into the trap the tap shrunk and covered him.
he couldn't move, bu the cows trap was loosened on the ground, the cow dived in the air as if on wings and took her dear life to a secured ground.
the lion stayed there for days....weeks, months, ...still no signs of freedom, his flesh sunk into the bones, and the skin became loose, his ribs were as visible as counting sticks, his eyes pocketed into his sockets, deep in his skull were hills of bones.
lion stayed for quite sometimes with undying hopes that he will celebrate his liberty one day.
the more he stayed there the thinner he became. he could no longer lift his body.
one day he decided to do the last bit of his life before he finally laid to rest, He wanted to roar but his energy was completely lost, he decided to collect the last drop of energy that would either save him or kill him.
He decided to roar "grrrrrrrrrrrrr,!he groaned, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! grr.... g rr... he groaned even more, all this while, the rat was listening, with terror, but she immediately recognized the sound. She ran as fast as she could, through the grassy ground. until she could clearly see the enclosed animal, The lion decided to make his last attempt that will finally decide his fate, GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!GRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!,the rat dushed into the scene, he found mr lion helplessly lying on the ground but his appearance could clearly show his desperation, "goood day mr lion,!"the rat greeted, "g....o...oo..d....d.....a...y..m.....i....s....s...r........a..a..a..t." he couldn't even see the rat due to her tininess,and his sunken eyes. he tried to look up, "it's me "the rat said ,he opened his eyes which were spread with sympathy and empathy as if to apologise for what he did earlier.
the rat assured him of her determination to set him free from exile.
the rat began a redemption journey, and torn the net with her bare teeth, she tore the net freeing the lion, the lion was as happy as a baby who just celebrated her first birthday..
they both shook hands as a sign of friendship.
The lion appreciated the rat and crawled away from the scene, they became friends forever.
