I tried my very best to remain calm but my heart was beating twice the normal speed. This is what we had been waiting for this moment ever since we started with the campaigns. In just a few seconds, we could get to know if we really won the elections or not.
I went and stood next to Erman. He also had lost it. He looked so weak and anxious. That was expected. I mouthed to him we got this even if that was not true. I was so tense but I kept my hopes high. We have definitely worked for this and I was sure that we were going to win this.
A pin drop silence was maintained in the room and the voice of the news anchor was so clear in the room. The commercial break was over and now was the time to announce the results of the election.
