“I will try my best, Alpha,” Cedric’s words kept ringing in my ears long after he left. I couldn’t believe that he was willing to be Alpha Dimon’s lackey even after everything. Justin had so much faith in Cedric, in his love. But probably he was deluded by Cedric’s sweet words just like me.
My eyes landed on the monster that was still standing in front of me. I didn’t know whom I hated more, Alpha Dimon or Cedric. I threw off my sheets and tried to get up, but Alpha Dimon stopped me, “You need rest, Luro. If you get up, your wounds will become worse.”
I staggered to my feet nonetheless, “I don’t care if my wounds get worse….”
