Cedric’s POV A gust of forced breath escaped my lips as I thrust my hands into my pockets; my gaze wandering over the dilapidated dome. I walked around it with slow deliberate steps, knocking at the surface and tapping my foot every once in a while. There seemed to be no way to enter it. My eyes darted to the sun that had sunk beyond the horizon; scattering clouds of azure beams across the blue sky. I had told my men that I would be back by sundown. If I didn’t return, they would come looking for me and I would have to weave a tale of lies again. With a disappointed sigh, I started walking back but then Luro’s face flashed in my mind. My heart clenched and the hollow sensation in the pit of my stomach intensified. I had to try once again for the sake of my mate. Since nothing else
