THE MORNING SUN WOKE Kate. Confused about her whereabouts, she blinked a few times. Then she remembered where she was and why. Kate looked around. Most people were still sleeping. Quietly, she went to the lavatory and cleaned herself as much as possible. She came back and found a tray on the table in front of her seat. The cabin attendants had already started to serve breakfast. She started to eat, and the steward came and offered her coffee or tea. Kate felt exhausted despite the long hours of sleep, so she needed coffee to start up her day. The trip took a toll on her. She already felt the strain of the journey and still had another two hours and a half before landing.
