Chapter 6 You're Lying

967 Words
Zuriel I close my eyes and think about Elara. Her perfect face plays in my head. It's like seeing a blurry vision, yet certain it's where she is. I follow the dusty road until we reach the highway and back to a gravel road. Within two hours, I reach the pack where the little princess is. Without waiting for security to let me in the pack, I go straight to the Alpha's mansion. They are chasing my car and trying to stop me. When I stopped in front of a mansion, I hit one wolf with my car, he shouldn't have stood in front of me. I get out, growling menacingly at the guard wolves. My aura makes them whimper. Wolves are powerful creatures, but dragons are more powerful and intimidating, even our aura oppresses them. I walk inside and down to the backyard, her scent is stronger and more enticing to my wolf. Has she always smelt like this? I wonder. I stop in my tracks when I see a man, an Alpha glaring at the pool. He's too engrossed to notice me. I glimpse what he's watching, it's her, the Little Princess. She's struggling to keep afloat, and he's enjoying watching her suffer. I feel rage take over me and lung to attack him immediately. He saw me a second too late. I tackled him to the ground and crawled at his face. 'Elara! Save her!' my wolf shouts. I let go of the fucker, and dive into the pool. I carry the princess out and give her CPS. After chest compressions, she coughs out the water. Her eyes open but soon close again in tiredness. I stand up and glare at the Alpha covered in blood. I did a number on him. His wolves instantly surround me. "Who the f**k are you, and what are you doing in my pack?" The f*****g Alpha asks his hand still on his bleeding eye. "I'll kill you for this," I growl. He backs away, and with a wave of his hand, his men jump on me, but I fight them off easily. In two minutes, they are lying in the blood with injuries, others dead. The Alpha is backing away in fear now, " W- who are you?" his confidence is gone. I wrap my hand around his neck and carry him from the ground. "Do you f*****g know who she is?" I ask in a deadly tone. "S- she's my mate. We had a misunderstanding. She came here and fell in the pool," he is struggling to speak because I'm gripping his throat tightly. His eyes are scared. What kind of Alpha is this weak, and what is this f*****g pack? "You're lying," I grit. I can tell he is by the slight tremble in his tone, and I saw how he watched her with gratification as she suffered. The little Princess coughed, and I threw the puny Alpha against the tree. He bolts into the forest, f*****g dickhead. I'll find him. I go back to the Princess, and I notice she's slowly regaining her strength, when her eyes fully open to look at me, she gasps. "You?" Elara "Me," he said in a deep sultry voice. I stared in the eyes of the most beautiful man I've ever seen. Zuriel Crawford. What is he doing here? I want to ask but no words escape my lips. Zuriel Crawford is a powerful and intimidating guy. He is cold and dangerous, but every time I see him, my heart beats faster, and my wolf, Ara, purrs. His bewitching sad emerald eyes are staring deep into mine. 'His eyes are always sad,' Ara whimpers. For as long as I've known him, which is my entire life, his eyes were always sad, and he never smiled. There was a sense of doom that shrouded him, it made me wretched for him. After a moment, Zuriel holds his hand towards me. I take it but he soon lets it go as though I burnt him, making me fall back to the floor. I lie on the floor, feeling defeated. I can feel his burning stare, but I refuse to look at him. I had a crush on Zuriel since I was a young girl, but to him, I was only a tick, the kind who wouldn't leave him alone even though he ignored me. I followed him around like a desperate fan, and the few times he spoke to me, he was rude. As years went by, I realized that I was in love with him, and when I told him, he was brusque and said, he could never want a silly girl like me. I was hurt so badly and forced myself to stop loving him. "Get up. Your parents are worried about you," his deep voice is harsh. I frown, thinking of my parents. "Did they send you here?" I ask, but he doesn't answer. I get up from the ground. My knees are still weak, I stumble, but he catches me before I fall. His eyes look over to the mansion. "What happened?" I am hesitant to tell him, but I do. "The Alpha of the pack is mate," I say quietly. His fierce gaze on me makes my skin burn despite the cold I feel. He is waiting for me to continue. "He rejected me, not officially because he wants to torture me. According to him, my family hurt his, it's vindication," I feel ashamed and can't hold his gaze anymore. I cast my gaze away, staring at the pool of water. I hear him sigh, and something warm is placed on my shoulder. A towel. I glance at him, my heart erratic and my wolf anxious. "Do you want me to kill him?" he asks.
