Kai POV
My phone is in my hand, and I am pacing the front hall. Kaden said he would call after he met with Tish. He assured me he would bring her home, but she was angry. I don't think even he will be able to convince her to come back. We broke her trust in the worst way.
Jessica is leaning up against the wall, watching me. "Do you need something?" I snap at her.
"Just waiting," she smirks.
"Waiting for what?" I growl.
"For you to finally realize that I am what you have been waiting for," she says. She steps toward me and runs her fingers over my bicep. "I am the last one on your list. Are you really going to throw that away for some human?"
