Right after that, Lex went on to settle some pack stuff. I'm now alone to roam around the kingdom. I really need to draw out a map of my own if I be living here for the rest of my life.

Oh god! My parents!

Scolding myself for being an irresponsible daughter, I quickly send a message to them, assuring them that I'm fine. Unsure of whether or not I should tell them about Lex being my mate..

Turning a corner, I hear laughter at the far end of the hall. I follow the chorus of laughter and reach the kingdom's garden, seeing a boy and a girl around my age spraying water at each other using the hose.

My eyes widen when the girl loosens her grip on the hose, causing water to spiral everywhere and that includes me getting hit. I shut my eyes when the forceful water smashes onto my face, wetting my clothes from head to toe. Luckily, I wasn't wearing white.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" The girl apologizes frantically, running over to me.

I contemplated whether or not I should speak or not...

"It's okay." I say smiling as I rub the water off my face, hoping I made the right choice to follow my heart not my mind.

"I'm Lucy, and that's my twin brother Lucifer." She introduces, still looking guiltily at me.

"I'm Aza, so he's named after the devil himself, huh?" I joke, trying to lighten her mood.

"Somehow, I think he is the devil." She whispers, smirking.

"Hey! I heard that!" Lucifer yells, jogging over to us, causing water from his hair to spray on us.

"Ew, Luke!" Lucy grumbles, glaring at her brother.

"Why, aren't you a beauty." He compliments, turning his undivided attention to me.

"Why, aren't you a beast." I toss back, smirking.

"Mmm beauty and the beast, such a perfect match made in heaven." He says, with a full blown smirk.

"Aren't you suppose to be from hell?" I correct.

"Damn, bro, you just got burned." Lucy laughs.

Before we went to our respective rooms to clean ourselves up, we agreed to meet back right at the garden. I had learnt that Lucifer is actually the soon-to-be Beta, he would officially be the Beta once Lex got the Alpha King position.

I put on a grey pullover that Luna Odell got for me, from god knows where and pull on a pair of skinny jeans. I maneuver my way back to the garden and already Lucifer, or rather Luke is there.

"Hey Luke!" I wave, standing beside him, admiring the beautiful white roses.

"Their beautiful aren't they, so white and pure yet full of thorns." He mutters in a low voice.

I sigh and nod my head, he seems to be in a type of trance and I decided to just leave him to be.

"Hey guys, sorry I took so long, my hair got tangled." Lucy explains, combing her long blonde hair with her fingers walking in a minute after.

I honestly wouldn't have known Luke and Lucy were twins if they didn't tell me, they looked absolutely different!

Well other than their beautiful paired hazel eyes.

"Let's go do something fun!" Lucy suggests, jumping onto Luke's back.

"Your breaking my poor back! Get down you pig!" Luke groaned, trying to shake off Lucy.

"So what should we do?" I said, sighing. These twins is never going to stop bickering.

"Let's go find-"

"Let's go disturb Lex-y!" Lucy cheered jumping off Luke's back.

"Lucy.." Luke said in a warning tone, "First you shouldn't interrupt me, second you shouldn't say that nickname."

Lucy tensed up, her chirpy mood is wiped off from her aura, "I'm sorry." she mutters, looking down at the ground.

"Lex-y! Help me!"

The familiar voice echoed in my head, "It's Zane isn't it, he got that nickname for Lex." I stated, looking into Luke's hazel orbs.

"How...your Lexington mate aren't you." He questions, but his eyes told me he already knew the answer. "Yeah, that I am."

"Luke..can you tell me more about Zane?" I ask, hell to that, I don't even know why I asked, it's just the need to know him, the need to..

"If you want to know the real Zane, Aza you know that person is not me." He pointed out.

I mulled over what he said, "But I..." I shook my head, "I don't have the courage to ask him, I'm afraid of his reaction Luke." I confessed, looking at the soft grass that tickled my feet.

"Then we will give you that little push you need won't we Lucy?" Lucifer said pointedly looking over to the still gloomy girl beside me.

"Sure, I won't mind." She smiled a small genuine smile, "If that mean she can bring Zane back." I heard her whispered that last part before we went into the kingdom, a mission in mind.

"Where could Lex be? This kingdom is huge!" I asked flabbergasted. "Mind linked duh." Luke deadpanned, rolling his eyes.

"Jerk."

"Ooo see even Aza agree with me Jerk." Lucy said smartly, her chirpy attitude coming back.

I smiled, "Yep!"

Luke fake glared at me before his eyes glossed over.

"He is at the West wing conference room, he would be done in about five minutes, just what we need to get there." Luke informed us as he strutted forward, leading the way.

Lucy rolled her eyes but followed quietly behind her twin.

My nervousness grew as the second passed, deciding to play with the hem of my pullover to distract myself.

"You will need to pop the question sooner or later Aza, wait that sounds wrong." Luke said serious then chuckled at the end. "Stop acting like an i***t, you're not helping Lucifer." Lucy reprimanded, mocking his name.

"Aza, you guys are mates, is your right to know about the Royal family, and I doubt Alpha Lexington would mind you showing a little interest in his life." She winked knowingly, patting my shoulder.

"Now move along he is waiting for you, princess." She said shooing me to the enormous double doors.

I stumbled forward due to the generosity of Luke.

I glared at him before pushing opened the door.

Truth to be told, I was expecting a hall full of scary and bulky old men, but instead it's only Lex, standing alone by the tall clear window.

I walked my feet silently towards him, clueless of how to start the conversation.

When I neared him, I was about to speak the first thing that came to mind but he started speaking, "Zane is the best younger brother anyone could wish for." He paused, still casting his gaze at the forest outside.

I said nothing, grateful that he started the conversation.

"Even though he was young, his soul was strong, his heart was gold. Being a prince and all, getting hatred glares, being bullied, getting called names, he didn't even once complained. Instead when I questioned him, all he said was, 'Lex-y, I don't care what other say about me, as long as I have mama, papa, and you by my side, the rest doesn't matter.'" Lex said, his voice wavering at the end.

I placed my hand on his shoulders, he smiled gratefully at me and continued, "It was on his sixth birthday that he was being kidnapped, he was dragging me to his so called secret place, and all of the sudden a black van pulled up in front of us, almost hitting us in the process. I stood in front of him shielding him from them, and that earned me multiple bullets. His scream, his pleading, the sound of bloody gun shooting, and the screeching of tires always haunts my mind Aza."

A lone tear rolled down from his dark hooded eyes, "We tried to find him for years but when we thought we were close, suddenly it was all gone, traces of Zane, his kidnappers, it's like they know everything."

He sobbed, bringing his hands up to cover his face, I rubbed his back in a comforting motion, trying my best to make him better.

"I'm here now Lex, don't give up hope, and I bet Zane is still waiting for you to find him and bring him home." I said, hugging him tightly.

I felt him nod in the croak of my neck, hugging me back tightly.

After hearing this, it increases my determination to find the whereabouts of Zane no matter the consequences, even of it's means my life would be hanging by a thin thread.

Lex's phone buzzed in his denim jeans, "Um Lex, your phone." I pointed out, pulling myself away from him.

He growled in annoyance but answer nonetheless, "What?" He asked rudely.

I saw his eyes widen, "Sorry mum, what? Oh okay." With that he pushed his phone back into his pocket.

"So..."

"We will be having a party tomorrow to celebrate the soon-to-be-king for finding his mate." He answered.

I took a moment to process that information, now is my turn for my eyes to turn to saucers, the party is talking about Lex and I.

I heard him chuckled at my slow expense. I hit him hard on the arm,"Will my parents be there?"

"Yeah..instead all Alpha and Luna will." He said grabbing my hand, walking us to the door.

"Wait!" I blurted out right before he turned the door knob, "Do I still have to be deaf-mute?" I whispered, I can feel the presence of Luke and Lucy behind the double doors, "I think you should because who knows what might happen if someone knows that all of a sudden you gain back your hearings?" He said thinking hard as his eyebrows furrowed together.

I had to admit he looked cute at that moment, "Stop looking at me like that Aza, now let's go and have some fun with the two losers." He said smirking, his eyes gleaming with playfulness.

Looks like nothing can escaped the devil's eyes.
