Story Time

Killian's POV

Waverly just finished telling her story of how she became marked and I was surprised at how well Kale handled himself. If it was Jewel telling me this I would have shifted and attacked the mutt's throat, but then again with Jewel things were different.

Kale looks at me and his mother, " So there is more family history that has been hidden?"

I huff at that, " It wasn't really hidden more like forgotten over the years."

Kale nods. I look at everyone, " Alright everyone if you want something to drink, eat, or need to use the restroom now is the time to do so because once I start this story there will be no stopping. No breaks. No Gommy TA jumping in to add some flurish to it."

Everyone laughs at that. Some of them head to the kitchen and some get comfy in the living room. I move two chairs to the center of the room one for Charlie and one for me.

Once I see that everyone is back I begin the story of our past.

"The Ectera bloodline goes back all the way to beginning of our kind. It is the longest bloodline in our history and it is the purest. Our Ancestors would gather at a holy place a long time ago and tell this story. That holy place in now the Temple. You would think that they would call it the Temple because it is holyplace and it is where we go to worship, but it is really the final resting place of the Original Wolf Spirits. Those two Wolf Spirits are my so many great grandparents."

I look around the room and I see the surprise in everyones eyes. I take a sip of water and continue on, " Their names are Autumn and Rhys. Autumn and Rhys were never suppose to meet let alone fall in love."

Waverly asks, " Why?"

I smirk at her, " Because Autumn and Rhys were the children of two rival clans whose hatred for each other knew no bounds. These clans would go to war over a slight insult and those wars would last a handful of years."

Dean interjects, " Why didn't the Goddess just step in?"

I sigh and shake my head to myself. So much for no one interuppting.

I take another sip of water, " TA would you like to answer that?"

TA smiles as everyone looks at her, " Autumn and Rhys were full blooded humans. Back in those days I was still the Goddess and instead of visiting the world in human flesh I would appear as a wolf. Autumn's family crest was a wolf so it was not uncommon to see her roaming around with a wolf by her side. That wolf was me."

Ash stated, " Of course leave it to you to meddle or be around powerful people."

TA giggles as she lightly shoves Ash. Storm smirks at them and asks, " So Autumn and Rhys's families hated each other and they were both humans? I fail to understand how they are the Original Wolf Spirits."

I smile at my daughter in law, " I will get to that. Autumn had just turned 18 when she was strolling around the woods close to the holy place when she came across an injured male. That male was none other than Rhys."

TA comments, " Autumn claims she felt a pull to the male and when she touched his neck to check for a pulse, she felt like lightening was covering her skin."

Keaton pipes up, " Kinda like it feels when you find your mate?"

TA nods. I continue on, " Exactly like that. Autumn knew from his looks that the male was her rival but she couldn't leave him here to die. She, with the help of her wolf companion, dragged the boy to the cave of the Temple and over time nursed him back to health. One day the male woke up and saw Autumn above him and he freaked out thinking that she was there to kill him. She convinced him otherwise. Over time during his healing they feel in love with each other. After Rhys was all healed up he knew he needed to get back to his own home and make sure that Autumn's family was attacked by his for thinking that they were responsible for his disappearing. Rhys and Autumn made their declaration of love and said their goodbyes in a field full of Black Roses."

Charlie gasps, " Not the same field I am thinking of? The one you took me to when you brought me home?"

I gave her a teasing look, " The same field."

I kiss her hand then continue on, " They claimed each other as their soulmates then departed. Autumn went home that night and apparently she had a special dream about her and Rhys in the field but instead of just declaring their love as they did before they made love underneath a full moon."

Dean and Waverly gasp at the same time and look at each other.

I smirk again, " Yes just like your dream. In your dream you went through with the act and then Dean marked you. In Autumn's dream Rhys didn't mark her but he did knock her up. Autumn didn't know that had happened until she missed her first couple of monthly visits and when she started to show her father demanded to know who she gave her vitrue away too. She refused to tell anyone because she knew that if she told them the love of her life was Rhys then her family would slaughter Rhys's family. So she allowed herself to be tortured and then placed in the lower cells of her home."

TA added, " I had been in wolf form for a while then and I couldn't find Autumn anywhere until I followed her scent to the cells. I knew that I needed to get word to Rhys and that I couldn't do it in wolf form or God form. I flashed myself back home and wrote out a note claiming to be a maid in Autumn's household. I told him that Autumn was being held in the lower cells and was close to death."

I sigh, " Once Rhys recieved the note he went straight to his family and told them everything. He told them how Autumn had found him and nursed him back to health. He told them how he had fallen in love with her and didn't want to live his life without her."

Sean smirks, " Kinda of like how you were with mom?"

I smile, " Just like that."

TA steps into add, " Rhys's father was upset at hearing what his son had told him so he told his son he would never allow him near Autumn again and that her family could kill her for all he cared. That set Rhys off and he fled his home. He gathered his closest friends who happened to be an advisor and a general. They made their way to Autumn's home and when Rhys saw her and her huge pregnant stomach he knew that the dream he had was real. They broke Autumn out of her cell and all of them made their way to the holy place. They all lived there peacefully for awhile until Autumn and Rhys's family found them. They crept into their home early one morning and pulled them from their beds. Autumn and Rhys watched as their parents killed their child because they didn't want any connection between the families. They craved war and having someone bind them together with blood meant no more war."

I look around the room and I see tears falling from Waverly's eyes. I speak up, "It was at that moment that our Goddess had enough of the bloodshed especially with the death of the child."

TA speaks up again, " Hearing the gut wrenching screams from Autumn and the heart stopping sobs from Rhys I lost it. I appeared in my God form before them and blacked out everyone else's vision. I told Autumn and Rhys I could make them stronger, faster, heighten everything about them so that they could avenge the death of ther child all they had to do in return would be to help our new race and implore to them that they are a pack. Being pack means being there for everyone and loving everyone. They agreed. Once I transferred enough power into them they shifted. Rhys was a huge black wolf and Autumn was a beautiful gray wolf. It didn't take them long to dispatch their families. That night they convinced me to turn their two friends who helped them rescue Autumn and a few other close friends."

I add, " They were the first pack ever. Any questions?"

Waverly speaks, " So just like Autumn and Rhys, we find our mates at 18, we feel the pull, feel the tingles, and all of our history comes from them?"

I nod. Dean looks confused, " But what does this have to do with our shared dream? With them it brought about a child but our's deal with a marking?"

Charlie finally speaks, " All a marking does is complete our ritual. By your dream you both have completed the ritual."

Kale asks, " What were the clan names back then?"

TA answers, " Ectera and Stanosa."

Kale stands up, " They wanted this."

Waverly looks over at Kale, " Who wants what?"

Kale runs a hand through his hair, " From the legends that I remember Rhys had a brother correct?"

TA nods. Waverly asks in a pleading voice, " Daddy what are you getting at?"

Kale looks at me, " He was a twin."

I nod, " His twin brother was called Erik. He is the one who led both families to Autumn and Rhys. Erik was the one who killed their child."

Kale cusses, "Son of a BItch."

Waverly stands and walks to her father, " DADDY! What is going on?"

Kale looks at all of us then settles his eyes on Waverly, " You are an Ectera and Dean is a Stanosa. You like your grandmother, Parker, me, and our ancestor Autumn are the only gray wolves in our line, we are rare but it means we are fated for greatness and destiny. Mom became the Goddess. Parker scarificed himself to protect us and we are both your father."

Waverly gulps, "And what about me?"

Dean walks to them and adds, " As you father said your an Ectera and I a Stanosa just like Autumn and Rhys. I understand what your father is saying. With us together we bring both bloodlines back together."

Waverly shakes her head, " But wait, your brother is a Stanosa and he was my mate at first til I rejected him."

TA speaks up, " Erik was in love with Autumn and was in the room when Rhys told everyone he and Autumn were in love it is why he turned them over. He was enraged that Autumn had given her love to his brother instead of him."

Waverly knees go weak and she falls to the ground, " What does it mean though?"

Charlie kneels down and holds her, " It means sweetie that you and Dean were always meant to be together. Your lives were melded together along time ago."

Waverly holds Charlie and looks at Kale, " Daddy you said this is what they wanted, who did you mean?"

Kale squats down to her, "Autumn and Rhys. They want the families united at last."

Waverly wipes her tears away, " But our families aren't at war."

Dean sighs , " Actually it might not be war but there is a torrid history between our families. My father hates that Thorn was crowned King, he hates himself for letting your father Parker scar him, he dislikes that Keaton ruined a powerful treaty alliance by mating with Thorn, and if I am correct there is one more thing I know that was hidden from everyone."

We all look at Dean. He looks at Kale, " He is the one who sent the rogues to kill your mate and brother."

At those words Kale lets out a loud growl full of pain.
