“What’s going on here?” her father said as he came into the living room.   He looked between Lizzie, dressed in her pajamas, and Deon. Her mother stood behind him, staring at the two teens in her living room.   “Mom, Dad, it isn’t what it looks like,” Lizzie said, coming over to stand in front of them.   “Oh?” her mother asked, turning her gaze to her daughter. “Then why don’t you explain to us what happened?”  Lizzie turned to look at Deon, then turned back to her parents and asked, “Could you shut the door first before I do?”  Her parents looked at each other, then back at Lizzie.  “There’s… uh, a bit of draft, and it’s getting a little chilly in here,” she said, crossing her arms over her chest to show how cold she was.  Her father glanced at her mother before shutting the door.
