Pulling her head back into the window, she pressed herself to the wall beside it. She hoped whatever was down there couldn’t see her. Listening intently, she didn’t hear anything outside.  She felt safe enough to lean forward a little to peek through the window. Not seeing the shadow, she leaned forward more. Then she saw it at the edge of the trees directly in front of her room. She ducked back, pressing herself against the wall once more.   “What in the world is that thing?” she whispered.   Getting an idea, she crept over to her bedside table and picked up her phone. She activated it and opened her camera. Peering out of the window, she positioned the camera to take a picture of the shadow.   She snapped the picture just as it turned its eyes to her.
