 Lizzie and Elle met Deon in the cafe for lunch. He was already sitting in a booth when they walked in and waved to them to join him.   Smiling, they sat down in the booth. Lizzie slid in next to him while Elle sat down across from them.   “Thanks for letting me join you two, Deon,” she said, crossing her arms on the table.  He smiled at her and said, “No problem, Elle. I’m glad you could join us.”  His smile faded, and he added, “I’m sorry about Tommy canceling, though. He was really looking forward to having lunch with you today.”  Elle perked up, and she asked, “He was?”   Deon nodded and said, “He told me he’d asked you to lunch last night, and he was really excited about it.”  Lizzie nudged Elle’s foot under the table and mouthed, “I told you!” at her.  Elle scowled at her and
