When they pulled up to the dance, their limousine had to wait in the line of cars before they could get out to enter the building. Elle and Lizzie looked out of the windows at everyone going inside the building as they waited.
“Ooh! Look at Jane Russ and her date!” Elle said, pointing to a couple walking up the sidewalk. “She looks so different!”
Lizzie peered out of the window next to her and said, “She does! Normally, she dresses very casually, and tonight, she looks like a princess.”
“I bet she doesn’t look any better than either of you,” Tommy said.
Elle and Lizzie looked back at him and smiled.
When it was finally their turn, they exited the limousine and went into the building.
