That night, she went to bed with a lot on her mind. She tossed and turned as she thought about going out with Luke that weekend.
Finally, she threw off the covers and got out of bed to go over to her desk. Pulling out her journal, she sat down and began to write.
“Today was such a confusing day! First, I got detention for starting the fight at the Homecoming Dance. Then, I confessed to being the one that started it, so I got a week’s worth of detention. To top that off, I’m sharing it with Sabrina! At least today, Elle, Deon, and Tommy were there to put a buffer between us, but tomorrow, it’s just the two of us. I’m dreading that. I hope someone else is in there with us. Otherwise, I don’t know what’s going to happen!
