"Why can't we find Stella?" I murmured, frustrated by our continuous failure to find her.
"We will find Stella," June assured me, trying to ease my anxiety. "You've done everything within your power, Damon. You even went so far as to interrogate the maid for leads, and after following her information, Stella was nowhere to be found."
"Time is running out," Kayden pointed out. "If we don't find her soon, she could be—"
"She's not dead," I quickly countered. "Stella is alive. They wouldn't have taken her if they intended to just kill her."
"True, but she'll only be kept alive until she gives birth to the child," Kayden added grimly.
