"I..." she begins but stops as her look of shock slowly disappears and a mask of indifference falls into place. “Apologize.”
“Just an apology?” I snap, growing even more annoyed by how many faces she has. “Do you think an apology will do?”
For a moment, she doesn’t speak as she takes me in with large blue eyes, causing my insides to stir as the emotions I felt back when I first laid eyes on her begin to come forward.
