I rest my head against the wall as I watch my unconscious dad, while waiting for Laura.
"I'm so sorry, you called so early. I tried as much as possible to get here on time and I have to leave by seven thirty five, that's thirty minutes. My boss is an angry one, remember?" She speaks with laboured breaths, showing that she was running.
"It's okay. I have missed you bestie." I say as I hug her and tears flow down my face on their own accord.
"I missed you too sis, what's wrong? Why did you leave your husband's house by two in the night? It could be dangerous. Don't tell me you walked." She says patting my back.
"I walked."
"What happened?"
"It's a long story, Laura."
"Is it about your dad? If it's about your dad, don't worry he just had one more surgery and I think he will wake up." S
