Darilus’s POV . I watch her from the darkness. Using her shadows, Sania initially sneaks into the kitchen in the western kingdom and puts a spell on the Princess’ tea this afternoon. “N’Ume Selù Kaór.” She chants an ancient elven spell on the dry leaves when the maid is not looking. It activates the hallucinatory effect on the leaves and on the person who drinks them hours later. “How do you know that spell?” I ask her while we wait in the hallway in the evening. Sania uses her shadows to crawl underneath the door gap to see what is happening in the banquet room. Another tendril of shadow creates a flat, vertical disk on-air and shows us the scene the shadow is seeing. We are crouching behind the furthest pillar in the hallway, so no guards could detect us unless we become too loud.
