“Happy Birthday sleeping beauty.” I hear a deep voice in my ear waking me. I stretch thinking I was dreaming. I open my eyes to find a pair of sparkling emerald eyes looking at me. I sit up quickly and he chuckles. “Slow down sweetheart. Good morning.”
“Morning. What are you doing here?” I ask sleepily.
“I told you sleeping beauty, happy birthday!”
I look over catching something bright out of the corner of my eye. I see a huge bouquet of flowers and balloons sitting on the nightstand. “Did you bring those?”
He nods. “It is your birthday, right?”
“It is but I usually don’t make a big deal about it.”
