Chapter 6

Turvi's pov I got up from my sleep because again I saw the same thing and to my horror this time I could hear his voice clearly. Normally I just understand the words and don't understand anything but today it was different. God, I will get mad like this. "Turvi! Oh great, you're awake. Get ready babe we have to leave." Stuti said. Leave? At 6 am? Has she lost her mind completely? "Our college won't start before 9 am so what's the rush?" I asked her to yawn. "What day is today?" she asked me. What day is today? I took my phone and saw the day. Oh, crap today is Thursday we have to go to the temple. It's our daily routine. We always go to the temple on Thursday. Even back at home as well. Home I miss it and my parents as well. I will be able to meet them soon. That's a relief. But then I won't be able to meet Aashank anymore. He will also leave for his home. Why is life so complicated? "Back to earth princess, what are you thinking?" she asked me. "Nothing, I will be ready to go," I told her but by her face, I can see that she didn't buy my crap. "Ok," saying she left I took a deep breath and got up from the bed. I took my time in the washroom and washed my hair and body thoroughly. Once done I wrapped a towel around my body and hair. I will wear something traditional today as I wear it in the temple. Not because I care about what others will think if I wear western clothes in a temple, not at all. It's because I love to wear them once a week or so. I took out my dress that has a white sleeveless Kurti with pink rose printed over it and paired it with green churidar salwar with a plain white net dupatta. I wore it and left my hair open to air dry them. I wore kajal and lip gloss with a small bindi. And I'm ready to go. I took my books because we will go to college directly from the temple. It's 7:30 am now.. wow I took long enough to get ready. "So your highness is ready huh?" stuti taunted She is wearing a Red marwari frock suit with red straight pant along with with marwadi dupatta of red thin border Well, she wears a salwar suit only sometimes jeans, not any other short clothing. She is the typical kind of girl that orthodox people prefer. "Yeah, I took a long time, sorry for that," I said and she shook her head. We both go to the temple by walking. Save money and stay fit. Stuti's mantra. This girl uff! We reached the temple and saw its quite empty as its early morning not many people are here. " Namaste pandit ji," we greeted the priest in the temple. " Namaste beta ap kaisa ho (How are you child)? "he asked us. He is a very sweet person... He always replies with a smile to others and has dedicated his life to this temple only. " Hum thik hai, ap thik hai na ? (We are fine...are you fine?) "I asked him. " Ji beta, Devi ma ki kripa se, (Yes child...as God has blessed me )" he said and we gave him the prasad we bought for puja. No cookie points to guess who made it. It's our Chef Stuti Sharma. I can't cook this much. I only know survival food. Fancy food isn't my cup of tea. She has made besan ke laddu today yummy! I love coming to temples for another reason as well. After puja I get yummy prasad to eat. (Laddu is a sphere-shaped sweet originating from the Indian subcontinent; the name originated from the Sanskrit word Lattika. Laddus are primarily made from flour, fat (ghee/butter/oil) and sugar. Laddus are often made of gram flour but can also be made with semolina or chickpea flour. Sometimes ingredients such as chopped nuts and/or dried raisins are also added. The type of ingredients used may vary by recipe.) Once done pandit ji put tilak on our forehead and blessed us. It's 8:30 am now. Our college is 10 minutes walk from here again walking. Ugh! Once Stuti got the prasad I forward my hand. She smiled and gave me two laddo and packed a few in another container. I eat my ladoo with a smile. I can eat it anytime. We distributed the prasad to beggars who are sitting outside of the temple and they blessed us. Now time to go to college... We reach college on time and in the middle we stop to grab some coffee with a sandwich from a cafe. It's near our college so it's not a problem. We both enter and find most of the students inside their classes. Stuti has a different class from me so she left and here I'm alone. I was walking towards my class when I saw a boy from my year with a junior. He has pinned her to the wall and the girl is crying. What the f**k? I walked towards them and the girl saw me with hope in her eyes. "What are you doing, leave her," I told him. "Turvi, you go from here. Don't interfere in our matter." He said "Is she your girlfriend? Even if she is you can't do this to her." I hissed. "I'm not his girlfriend please save me he Is ragging me." the girl said sobbing. "Leave her alone," I told him calmly. "I won't, she is a junior and quite beautiful so I want her to be my girlfriend." He said and I lost my patience. I fisted my hand and punched him in the stomach. I know it was hard because my hand is painful. He left the girl who came behind me. "I told you to leave her but you didn't listen now go back to your f*****g class otherwise I will drag you to the principal room." I warmed him and he left but not before glaring at us. "Thanks, di for saving me." the girl said. "Why is he behind you?" I asked her though he told me. "Actually on my first day, I bumped into him and spilled juice on him. I apologized to him and he accepted my apology but he started his illogical demands like staying away from boys and all. And now he wants me to be his girlfriend and I denied him that's why he was forcing me. And by the way, I'm Saima " Saima replied. " Don't worry about him, Saima.I will handle him if he does anything again. You just tell me Ok. "I told her. " You're Turvi Ahuja right? "she asked me and I nodded. " Yes, I'm why? "I asked her " Because I have heard about you saving juniors from seniors. And you won the dance competition as well. "Saima said. " Oh, "I said " Ok di I'm going to my class you also go. "Saima said and left but not before I gave her my contact number. I sighed and walked towards my class. What a start to college in the morning. It was just great.
