“What was that all about?” Kelsi asked Bree as the door to the meeting room closed behind them.
“What?” Bree asked.
“Aki told you to bring me back early?” Kelsi asked, trying to sound casual and keep the hopefulness out of her voice.
“Yeah, he did,” Bree responded, grinning. “I wanted to spend the rest of the day with you, but Aki had to get in the way.” She elbowed Kelsi and gave her a teasing look. “He said he had plans for you later.”
“Oh, right,” Kelsi said, remembering. “I think he mentioned taking me out to see the city later,” Kelsi said shyly.
