“So, what kind of training do I do first?” Kelsi asked with a little excitement.
She had no idea what to expect, but she was ready for anything. Maybe she was going to learn about the businesses the family ran… or maybe, Aki was going to take her along on one of his underboss duties. She was looking forward to the latter more than she should.
“Hmm…” Aki studied Kelsi thoughtfully. “We can start with something basic,” he said.
“Like what?”
“It’s late afternoon. It’s a good time to take a walk,” he announced.
“What?” she repeated, surprised.
“Did you get some running shoes?”
“Yeah, Bree made me choose one,” Kelsi replied suspiciously. “Why?”
“Great,” Aki said, standing up. “Let’s go get them.”
