Kelsi woke up in a bad mood as she recalled what had happened the previous night.
She hadn’t slept well.
After Aki’s sudden retreat, she had tossed and turned all night trying to figure out what could have possibly triggered the abrupt change in his disposition. She thought they had made progress in their relationship over the weekend. Apart from the thrilling and anxiety-inducing surprise heist last Saturday, everything else had gone smoothly between them.
He had surprised her. A lot.
