“Aki!” Kelsi said in surprise. She quickly pushed away from Liam and rushed over to him, with a smile plastered on her face. “I’m so happy to see you!”
Her heart gave a little lurch when she saw him. He looked so good with his windswept hair, black fitted jeans, and a loose white t-shirt, exposing the tattoos on his arm.
But, Aki wasn’t smiling. He was frowning and his eyes were narrowed at Liam, who was leaning back on the table.
“What’s wrong?” she asked in a concerned tone as she studied his face.
“What’s going on here?” he asked stonily, ignoring her question while still glowering in Liam’s direction.
“Liam has taught me a lot of things!” she said happily, completely oblivious to the tension going on between Aki and Liam.
