“Kelsi.” Aki’s voice was so soft. His breath, a sweet caress on her ear.
She slowly turned her head up but continued to hold him tightly.
It was as if the whole world had stopped and nothing else mattered except for those stormy gray eyes that were looking at her with deep tenderness. His brow was furrowed with worry and his mouth was slightly parted.
“Why did you do that?” he breathed.
Kelsi opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Why? She didn’t know. She didn’t think. She just did.
