Once the mythics had taken care of most of the demons, they quickly regrouped. Brigid and Rhiannon were taking care of all the injuries they could while Cassius and Hyptu were on lookout duty. Justin was trying to help but stay out of the way. He was in awe over how quickly some of them healed but others needed spells or special herbs to help them. These demons were bad news. And the ornate sword that was on his hip felt surprisingly light for its size. He was still amazed at how much stuff his father's bag could hold, and he had plenty of questions for his father when they were through with this.
It was then that Frost and Fuoco noticed the sword that Storm had seen earlier. She was curious about what her parents were going to say about it.
"Why do you have that hunter?" Fuoco said, refusing to address Justin by his name. He knew he needed to keep his guard up. Hunters were not to be trusted, even if this one smelled differently. Freya could sense the unease coming from the dragons.
"Now is not the time. He is here to help us," she reminded them stepping in between them again.
"He better not try anything," was the only warning they gave him, not like it was needed.
Justin looked at the dragons in front of them, taking in their striking colors. Frost's beautiful grey one, her purple wings matching Storm's deep purple body. While Storm's wings were red and brown, matching Fuoco's warm red and brown dragon. He looked to Freya, unsure of what he did, that was making them eye him with such suspicion.
"That sword," Freya explained, "Has a story. One that we don't have time for right now, but to keep you safe, don't flash that thing around them." She nodded her head towards the three dragons behind them. "And so you don't use that thing on Alev, he is a choc-" the word was cut off by the sound of wings.
"Alev," she whispered.
Storm looked to the sky when she heard the wings, her heart filled, her brother was safe! When he landed softly beside their mother, they all wanted nothing more than to greet him, but his eyes were on the small witch in front of them. She smiled, knowing how he felt, her heart tore when Topor was bitten earlier, and to be honest when she caught sight of him in his naked human form she had to do everything in her power not to push everyone away from him like some kind of jealous i***t.
Everyone was thankful that both Blaze and Bodhi were now with them safe. It was as if Storm's thoughts of Bardik's naked body beckoned him because he approached the group. Still naked, and walking a little funny, his right hand covering his crotch. Storm couldn't help it, but take him in, his muscled body rippling as he approached Justin with a death glare in his eyes.
The group watched nervously, especially Brigid, Freya, and Justin because they knew why Bardik was walking funny and why he was ready to kill Justin.
"You, you miserable, son of a b***h," Bardik growled at Justin, glaring at him.
The look on Justin's face was priceless, he looked like a deer in the headlights. He knew exactly what he did and why, and to be honest he didn't blame his boss for being angry with him.
"I'm-" Justin was beginning to apologize when Bardik stopped him with a flash of his left hand.
"No, man, thank you. But good lord, did you have to kick me so f*****g hard?" he asked with a pained smile. With that, the tension was broken and Bardik transformed back into his massive wolf.
Cassius came up just then, missing the interaction, " We have demons to take care of."
As the council was debating their next course of action they could hear Abigor calling for and taunting Freya. He released his minions on them, hoping that would drag them out of their hiding spots, but it didn't work. All it did, was cost him another worthless demon.
The demons had shown up and one wounded Justin, much to Freya's dismay. The dragons, knowing their sheer size alone could give them away, slid silently into the forest disappearing completely until they were needed.
Storm was watching Blaze with a great deal of interest, she was curious how he was taking the fact that someone was out for his mate. And there was no amount of arguing on Alev's part that would convince the rest of them otherwise that Freya and he weren't destined to be together.

Meanwhile, the king of the demons, Egan, knew where Grivarce had been hiding but didn't care. He knew that it wouldn't take the greedy bastard long to realize who was on the isle. When his son had stormed out of the castle and he had gotten some answers from the minister, he released the man. Something that was completely out of his character, but he felt the need to do it.
Once the minister was gone, the black magic witch returned to Egan, the witch's thirst for more power, taking over his senses.
"Your Highness, you've changed," he pondered.
"That I have, old man," he said sadly.
"But you still thirst for revenge, yes?" he asked slyly.
"Only for one."
The old witch knew that now was his chance, and he reminded the king of the potion they gave Grivarce. Telling him that enhanced everything on the dragon.
"And?" Egan asked, not really caring to get the point of this conversation, just wanting him to spit it out already.
"Not only was his physical strength enhanced, but also his weak spot," the witch smiled wickedly.
As the gears turned and everything clicked into place Egan stood, "Thank you, you're services are no longer needed, " he said dismissing the witch.
"But, but you're highness, where are you going?" the witch questioned, he wanted to witness this.
"To catch a dragon," he said.
Egan quickly went to find Grivarce, cursing when he realized he was too late. He could hear his son's saccharine sweet calling of Freya, he knew this wasn't going to end well.
"Oh son, why are you doing this?" He said out loud as his human form yet again evaporated into a cloud of thick black smoke.

Grivarce was circling the sky, angry that he kept losing sight of his targets. The deep black fog that was rolling made him thankful he was above them and not in it. He remembered them using it on them in the cells, causing the weaker ones to use their chains on themselves, silencing their tortured screams.
Blaze and Storm were side by side waiting for the battle to begin when they heard the growl from above them.
Storm was getting so angry she didn't realize she was beginning to breathe fire.
"Easy, Storm," Blaze said, "We have people below us."
It wasn't long before the battle began, caused by an errant demon's arrow sliced the air and hit Bodhi. They were deep in battle with Grivarce watching and waiting, simply biding his time until he could strike.
Justin felt the sudden urge to be alongside the dragons and Freya, he wasn't sure why. It was like when he was younger, his gut was telling him to be there.
Blaze was eyeing Justin, as he drew the sword, and began swinging it at the demon's weapons the shiny steel singing in the darkness with each swipe.
"Careful, hunter," Blaze said to Justin with more than just a slight warning in his voice.
"I am not my father," He said as he stabbed yet another demon, causing it to scream in pain.
"Keep it that way," Storm said, blowing fire in the direction of the demons.
Justin was shocked when the sword disappeared from his hand mid swipe, causing him to get a long cut on his arm from the demon he was about to destroy. "What the hell?"
Egan had gone from in front of them to behind them quickly, just as Grivarce was about to blow his icy breath on Freya.
Justin's eyes widened, "Freya!" he yelled. The dragon's icy breath barely grazed her, but it was enough to extinguish her flame, causing her to fall to the ground shivering.
Grivarce was screaming in agony as he blew another freezing breath at the demon king, "What did you do? You said I was unstoppable!"
"Payback," was all Egan could get out before the iciness began to take him over. Abigor saw what happened to his father and anger consumed him. He vanished into a puff of smoke, reappearing at his father's side.
"Why? Why would you protect them?" he said scooping up his father and holding him close," You weren't supposed to do this! I saw the end of this," Abigor was shaking with fear and anger. He lost his mother and now was about to lose his father, did no one love him enough to live for him?
"I changed it, son. We aren't to win this battle. Please," was all Egan got out before his final breath left his body.
