The Rogue’s Initiation Part 7

“Would you like me to pretend to be your boyfriend instead of just a date?” I asked. “That’s what I was originally going to ask for, but I didn’t know if you’d go for it. It sounds dumb, I know. But, you’re not from around here and I could just tell them it’s a long distance thing for now.” “We might have to kiss and flirt.” I said in a suggestive tone. “It can’t look like a first kiss, either, or they’ll know.” “Are you saying you want to kiss me, Mr. Casey?” Sunny giggled. “I think a practice run might be a good idea.” I replied. “Maybe when we’re done setting things up.” That worked for me. As long as I could kiss her before the night was through. The way she was holding my arm and leaning against me made me think of her as more than just a woman who had purchased me. “So, which of my books is your favorite?” I asked, trying to change the topic. “Oh, well, I actually haven’t really read your books. For some side money, I draw fan art for people. One of my regulars is a big fan of yours. She orders a few commissions from me every year, all scenes from your books or characters acting out scenes she has in her head. So I had to read enough to get an idea of who the characters were and what they looked like, but I never actually got around to reading the books themselves.” She answered with a slight blush. “Why did you pay so much for me if you’re not a fan of my work? Just to have a date for this restaurant?” She took off her glasses and handed them to me. I took them and looked at her questioningly. What did this have to do with why she bought me? “Put them on.” Sunny whispered with a little smile. I slipped the frames on my face and looked at her. She was naked. I pulled the frames off and she was clothed again. Holy s**t. I put them back on again and took the time to really look at her. Her body was amazing. Just the right amount of everything in all the right places. “Where did you get these?” I asked as I stared at her breasts. “I found them at a secondhand store. I don’t know where they came from, but they were with a bunch of other frames for costume accessories last Halloween. I think they’re great for studying the human form, and it’s kind of fun to see everyone walking around naked. I use them in adults only situations, though. I’m an artist, not a pervert.” “I think you’re a pervert, too. But, aren’t all artists a little pervy? I know I have to do a lot of research for my books, what kind of research are erotica authors doing?” I laughed and handed her back her frames. She slipped them on her face and looked down at my groin. I covered myself. Knowing that she could see everything was a little embarrassing, and pretty hot. “I imagine they also read a lot of erotica, watch a lot of adult videos, and have a lot of sex.” She winked, then leaned in. “Nice wood. Is that from looking at me?” “You’re a very beautiful woman, Sunny. You know that. What exactly did those glasses have to do with why you picked me? Is it because I turned you on?” “No. It’s because I liked looking at you with them on and, when I took them off, I still liked looking at you. I love the Captain America as a lumberjack thing you’ve got going on. Though, it might be nice if you got cleaned up for our date.” Sunny suggested. “I will. I can’t embarrass my girlfriend.” “Will you stay with me for a little longer? We can do the getting to know you stuff while we walk around. That way we can act more naturally on the date. I was thinking tomorrow night, if that works for you.” “I’ll stay with you until you tell me to go, Sunny. Tomorrow works fine for me, if that’s what you want.” I replied. “Good.” She murmured and leaned her head against my arm again. We wandered for a very long time. I bought tickets for a couple rides that weren’t fast or crazy. She bought us some stuff to eat. It was the best pre-date I’d ever been on. - When they announced the fair was closing, we headed for the parking lot. I walked Sunny to her car. It was parked only a couple rows from my truck. I didn’t want the night to end, but I knew it had to. She stopped and let go of my arm. I sighed. It was hard to keep my disappointment in. This was the most fun I’d had in a long time. I was suddenly grateful Queen Bellamy had taken over my territory when she did. I never would have been able to have this time with Sunny if she hadn’t. Sunny took my hand in both of hers. She looked a little sad, too. I was pretty sure I wasn’t imagining it. “We should kiss, then.” She said softly. I turned to her and slid my other hand through her hair, cradling the back of her head and bent down. Our lips touched tentatively. A fire sparked inside me and I opened my mouth, touching her lips with my tongue. Sunny let go of my hand and twined her fingers in my hair before opening her mouth to me and aggressively seeking my tongue with her own. With a growl, that was a mix of my desire and my wolf’s desire, I put my now freed hand on her waist and pulled her closer. Our tongues danced playfully with each other. I moved her backward until she was pressed against the back of her car. Both of my hands slid down to her butt and I picked her up, putting her on the trunk of her car. Her legs wrapped around me and locked behind my back. The taste of her was exquisite. I wanted to taste all of her. I ground my hips into her and she moaned with a little whimper. It made me feel powerful and almost savage. I wanted more of it. By the time we pulled away, most of the parking lot was empty. Sunny looked into my eyes with a smile. “Looks like we have the kissing part down.” She giggled. “Mmm. There are some other parts that have come up, though.” I murmured as I leaned in and started kissing her neck. “As much as I’d like to do it with you in this parking lot, Vaughn, I don’t want to break any laws. Queen Bellamy is very serious about us being law abiding wolves here.” “Then come with me to my motel.” “Not tonight. I still have some work to get done before Monday morning.” Sunny replied as she stroked my hair while I sucked on her neck. I straightened up and looked down at her. Was I pushing this too fast? I forgot what was proper etiquette for dating rogue born she-wolves. She was right. I could wait, if I had to. “Sorry. I got carried away. It was just supposed to be a kiss.” I chuckled and helped her off the back of her car. “I wasn’t exactly stopping you. It’s been a few months since the last time someone touched me like that. I wasn’t lying, though, I really do need to get my project wrapped up before morning. I was working on it all day and figured I’d come to the auction for a break. I didn’t expect to be out all night, but I don’t regret spending this time with you.” She replied. “Are you just saying that so I don’t cancel our date tomorrow?” “Obviously.” Sunny laughed. She was clearly kidding. I could smell her arousal and I knew she wanted to be with me. The way she put her responsibilities ahead of her desires was thoroughly enticing. I loved responsible women. “I’m entirely devastated. This is going to send me scurrying back to my cabin in the woods to draw my curtains and weep endlessly for my poor broken heart.” I said with a heavy sigh. “One day, I’ll wake up and regret the decision to tell you the truth, but, by then, it may be too late. I’ll always imagine you eventually mended your heart and fell in love with someone else. Losing my chance at you forever.” She responded dramatically. “And I’ll sulk, alone and embittered by the pain of losing the only woman I probably could have ever loved. Tears will spring to my eyes every time I read about a county fair or a cattle auction. I’ll die alone, wishing to see your face and kiss your sweet lips one more time, even though you hurt me so deeply.” I replied. “I’ll read your obituary, and, when I find out you never married, I’ll travel to the place you’re buried and throw myself on your grave apologizing for never hunting you down. I’ll cry for the years we lost, for the children we never had, and for all the love I wasted on ex-packs who would only leave me when they found their mates.” Sunny added, nodding sadly. She was perfect, though, there was something very truthful in her final statement. Did she realize she was wasting her love on those ex-packs? Did she regret it? “See you tomorrow?” I asked. “I’ll be there with bells on. Don’t forget to text me when you get to your motel. I’ll get you the address and time for our date.” She grinned. “Can I kiss you again?” She nodded and I wasted no time taking her in my arms and kissing her like there was no tomorrow. Sunny wrapped her arms around me, digging her fingers into my back and shoulder. I kissed her like I was poisoned and she was the antidote. As if I’d die without her lips on mine. Sunny pushed me away. “Are you writing in your head while you kiss me?” “What? NO!” I insisted and leaned in to kiss her again. She pushed me back. “You are too! I can feel your mouth trying to make the words while you’re kissing me!” I was stunned. Was I doing that? I knew I’d sometimes mouth the words I was writing when I was at my computer, but I was pretty sure I didn’t do it outside of those times. Sunny started laughing. At least she wasn’t offended by it. I smiled at her. She was as bright and cheerful as her name. “I should let you go, so you don’t miss any more work time.” I told her.  “Did you bring your laptop with you?” She asked. “Yeah. It’s back at my motel.” “Then, maybe you should write when you get back to your motel. I’m betting there’s something in your head that wants to come out.” “I think I will. Good night, Sunny.” I said as her arms slid from around my shoulders. “Good night, Vaughn. Don’t stay up too late. I want you well rested for our first date.” Sunny replied and turned to her car. I stood back and watched her unlock the door and get in. When she turned on the car and pulled forward, through the empty spot in front of her, I finally turned and went to my truck. She was an amazing girl. I couldn’t wait for the next day. When I got in my truck, I inserted my key and turned it on. She was right. There was something in my head that wanted to get out. I wanted to write in a way I had never wanted to write before. - Once I was back at the motel, and in my room, I texted Sunny, then opened my laptop and a new document. Normally, I found the blank page a little daunting. Now, it was my canvas and I was going to fill it with words like I never had previously. I plugged in my earbuds and started a music playlist. The rhythm of the music flowed through me. My fingers typed out a few tentative words. Mirroring my kiss with Sunny, I went from careful to carefree in a matter of moments. I wasn’t editing, wasn’t thinking, was only letting the words pour from my brain into the keyboard. The red squiggly lines didn’t bother me. I would correct errors once I was done. This was just to get it all out. Every thought and feeling, every taste and texture, every scent and sight. When I was finished, I looked at what I created. It was a mess, but it was amazing. I was about to start editing, when I noticed the time on my computer. It was five in the morning. Sunny was going to be mad at me if I didn’t show up groomed and rested. I pulled the curtains tight and turned off my computer, after saving the file. I’d have to edit tomorrow. I needed at least five hours of sleep before I went to find a place to get my hair cut. I had to look good. I was going on a date with my muse.
