Astrids POV
Once we were back at my apartment I let go of the twins shoulders. They both fell against the wall in my living room trying to steady themselves. It was never easy your first time being teleported but they were werewolves they would get over it quickly. "Here take a seat" I said pointing to my couch. "I'm going to change them I'll get you guys some water" I added over my shoulder. I could tell they were staring at my ass I mean I was a stripper after all and didn't have time to change clothes. I quickly changed into my sports bra and yoga pants and went to the kitchen. "Do you guys want anything to eat? Sometimes that helps with the nausea." I yelled. I didn't really have much but I could give them some left over pizza. I looked up from behind the refrigerator door and could see that both eyes were black again but almost glazed over. What is that about? I asked Bella. It's called mind linking, its something werewolves in packs and do as a way to communicate with each other Bella explained. I shrugged my shoulders before making my way with the pizza box and water bottles to the couch.
I set everything down on my coffee table and watched them for a bit. Finally the glaze went away and their eyes were back to their normal colors. "So you guys are in a pack?" I asked them. "Look we're grateful that you saved us but do you mind if we ask you our questions first?" Brownie asked. I nodded my head since I had nothing to hide. "First whats your name?" Hazel asked. "Astrid not sure what my last name is." I responded. The twins looked to each other confused. "Okay how did you know we were in danger?" Brownie asked next. I let out a long sigh and stared at the pizza box in front of me. "That is a long story, why don't I heat up the pizza for you and I'll tell you my life story" I suggested flipping open the box. I picked up two slices and held them in my hands and warmed up the slices. The twins looked creeped out as you could hear the sizzling of the cheese as it cooked. They tentatively took their slices from me while Hazel said "Yeah we'll take that life story now."
I explained everything to them. How my parents were killed by Caleb and I was taken. All about my experiments to my escape to this moment in time. Both of their jaws hung open once my story was ended. "Okay so you mean to tell me you've been calling us Hazel and Brownie?" Hazel asked. Brownie slapped Hazel upside the head and glared at him. "Out of everything that's all you took away?" Brownie asked dumb founded. I couldn't help but giggle at them. "Wow Astrid I can't believe everything that you've been through." Brownie said. I just shrugged saying "Nothing to be sorry about. I haven't known anything else." "Well let me introduce us properly, I'm Alex, and this knucklehead is Reggie" Alex said. Okay so Hazel is Alex and Brownie is Reggie I said to Bella. Nah I like their other names better Bella replied. Yeah me too I said. "Nope you're stuck with Hazel and Brownie." I said with a playful smile. Both brothers groaned and fell back against the couch.
"So my turn for questions?" I asked them. "Sure to answer your question from earlier yes we're in a pack called Lightning Moon" Reggie said. "Cool so what were you doing at the club?" I asked them. "Well Reggie here is getting married in a few days so we were having his bachelor party." Alex said taking his brother head and messing up his hair. Reggie beamed with a smile and I could tell he was in love as he shoved his brother off. "Congratulations!" I said smiling back. "Thanks of course since you saved the groom you're invited to the wedding." Reggie said. "Yeah I'm sure his mate Tessa will be all over you when she sees you." Alex said. "Sorry whats a mate?" I asked confused. Since I grew up knowing only what Caleb told me I didn't get to learn everything about werewolves. I knew that there were Alphas, Betas, and Gammas but that was it. The twins took their time explaining every last detail about mates from how their scent is custom to everyone and how your soul become whole. Part of me always hoped I would fall in love but who could love someone like me? All of a sudden there was a pounding on my door and I jumped up. I was catching a faint scent of chocolate and ginger. "Oh that must be Luke." Reggie said. "When you saw us earlier we sent him a mind link to let him know what had happened and were to find us." Alex explained.
I got up and made my way towards the door as the scent got stronger. I could tell Alex and Reggie were following me just in case. Bella was jumping around and howling in my head. Dude what is your issue? I asked her as she was starting to give me a head ache. I opened the door and the chocolate and ginger scent hit me like a freight train and audibly gasped taking it in completely. Come on my love open your eyes and let me see I heard a deep voice say in my mind. When I opened my eyes I said the only thing that Bella kept repeating in my head over and over "Mate"
