CHAPTER 7Nothing stirred when Annie rose from Theo’s bed. He slept on, his lashes dark against his cheeks, his mouth in a soft pout as he rolled away from the empty space she left. She refused to look behind her as she slipped into the hall, but with the closed door at her back, she sagged and shut her eyes.
